My way to solve that is to only build New Trackmaster track and the Old Trackmaster trains go on those easy

Luigiandtoad Gaming there are conversion pieces. Some came in the track bundles and playsets when they first came out. Ebay has real ones and 3D printed ones too.

Yes...the "catch" still has enough of a groove to stop on the track accessories....at least the dozen or so that I've tried. I dont have any NEW track accessories that require it. Hope that helps!

Hi Ryan, thanks for the tip. I have the Avalanche Escape set. Do you think the new train will still execute the "falling section" if it is shaved like in your video ?

My son and I still use the old tomy blue tracks. The "cog" type wheels dont grip the older tracks so I just replaced the rear wheels from an broken older train and pressed them on the new axle. The chassis needs to be clearanced slightly on the sides and on certain models the body does aswell. Since the older wheels have a larger diameter you don't need to trim the chassis to clear the "special" stations.
