The consideration I make when weighing the initiative roll also includes - what does my opp have to give up in order to try and steal? If they have to give up a quad I often dont mind dangling the chance to steal. The main thing I weigh is my worst case scenario if I lose inish. If it would mean losing something important then i will over commit and use extra dice to guarantee it or take the roll off risk to try and steal for sure

Absolutely man. There's a Warcry channel on the Gemhammer Discord where I do most of my local event posting. We've typically been playing at Dragon's Guildhall, Mavericks in Mason, and sometimes at Epic Loot. I've also started doing some events at Guard Tower in Columbus.

At least 2 different stores in Virginia last time I was there, a couple in Dayton as well. Maybe I should start a photo blog of all the old unwanted boxes I find. I already do a lot of scavenger hunting.

On stuff that lasts longer then the end of the turn, there is also the FEC hero that can use speak in toungues which affects the targeted fighter in their next activation; so if they've already activated, the next turn is affected. It's odd that the main warcry rules doesn't have set defaults for ability endpoints - e.g. end of the round unless stated otherwise.

Yup, I feel like players should be doing that for any mission. While getting lots reps on missions is by far the best practice, I do think it's also kind of fun to "sight-read" a mission you haven't seen before and see if you can figure it out in 5 minutes during the pregame.

Neave is pronounced Neeve. At least GW used an anglicised spelling as the Irish spelling is Niamh. Nave is spelt Knave.

In seriousness about the KO mirror, I learned that the +4w blessing for your aethercannons completely changes the mirror bc of how often they do exactly 15 to each other. So if you have blessed cannons your opponent drops you to 1, and then you turn around and delete them.

Good question. The stat changes come from the optional rules for Divine Blessings that were in an issue of White Dwarf. warcrier.net/docs/rules/optional-rules/#divine-blessings Not all tournaments allow them but in general people like them and think they pretty good for the game, giving the player more options to use their points and making more models usable. However, they also make good models like the Fomo even better.

I pronounce it "Neev" looking at it maybe "navy" 'cause what's the last 'e" for? Rear+e would be pronounced? GW I am sure started with naif and they don't know spell so good. When in doubt and an "e". Work for me in the 4th grade.

Great video guys! Just wanted to add that the biggest diff wasn't just the ednrin vs captain but the blessings that allowed for. I got to go +4w across 5 models in the mirror which definitely mattered.

Great episode and glad to see the crew rolling deep in this one! Thanks for covering my lists! I wanted to do Rey Mysterio instead of Nacho Libre, but the pose on the model was so perfect and I was trying to make the all the netter proxies have net-looking things (Hulk's Shirt counts, right?!) so it became the Nacho cape! Looking forward to hearing the Tourney breakdown!

You missed the broken ability on Skabbik - for a triple, as written, Skabbik can get two attacks as the other model doesnt need to be visible. Hoping that gets erratad, but right now that gives him a ridiculous threat range.

We might not have talked about it, but I was aware of the interaction. It may or may or not be intended, but if gets "fixed," then it kills Skabbik as a competitive model. There's another model with an ability that might not be intended in the revamped Cities of Sigmar as well...

The Spire Tyrants with Stabbik look particularly fun. I wish they'd do something to get the older bladeborn warbands into circulation properly. They scream to become grand alliance boxes, just shove two in that can team up.

Yeah I love Underworlds and Bladeborn for that reason and that's why I would like to see a points update for all them to make them viable again. You could mix and match models from any 2 of them and even make that a mini-format.
