You guys should do your homework before going public. How does this not portray Nigerians. The lead actress is not even wearing what's on your head. You should have wornìró and búbà on your show so we would know you're Nigerian.

Thank God we are not allowed to be, or use rude words. Cos you guys sound crappier than what you are trying to make as crap. First and foremost id like you to know that no Nigerian media back home would take on an initiative of exporting any Nigerian cultures the way CBS and the producers have. All you'd get mostly is trying to infuse foreign contents and then trying to take it international and even start to fight if they do not give you awards e.g. Genevieve and Oscars . Id strongly advise that you get with the programme as in the initiative Nigerians African cultures are becoming very strong USPs in todays media products and the Oyinbo know it and investing in it. Sit down there and be wasting time criticising. By the way a good critical review would have had a balance which lacked in this presentation

I am married to a Nigerian man. When I see and hear Abishola, I have to laugh because it reflects some of my experience with my Nigerian in-laws. It is not exact but then again the series made to be funny so everything is just a little over the top, like her accent. When I mimic my husband's accent, he says "I don't sound like that!" and I say, Oh yes you do. He says I have an accent and I say No I don't. We just don't really have a full understanding of how we are perceived...no matter what country we are fun.
