Catching them in Texas on chatterbait and crankbaits. Shallow rocks . Water temp still about 70 deg. Caught a 5 1/2 on the gravel dawg. I like it.

Study up on the fish your fishing for. Try different baits. Everyone gets skunked from time to time! If it's going to rain tomorrow...go fishing today and tomorrow. Fish tend to feed just before a cold front and during. It's that pressure drop that turns then on!

I’ll have to try one of those! Admittedly I’m not a big hard plastic guy but I got really into jerk baits last winter for pike. I had some luck on a flickershad recently for smallies and damn man, it’s really exciting when they hit the crankbait in the middle of the retrieve!

Been wanting to pick one of those up and try it. IMO the greatest crank bait ever made was the Bagley Killer B3 The bill on this bait is at that angle. It should have the aggressive wobble that the killer B had. Thats what would trigger the bites.
