It's important to remember to keep your grip pressure light enough, as well as the tension in your arms and wrists, to allow gravity and centrifugal force to properly translate through your limbs and into impact.

Thank you....I have found the more I try to rotate, I lose distance with the driver and connection to the ground with my feet. It also adversely affects my release as I'm hanging on to control the club face. Finally someone addressing the speed using the wrists and allowing the body to react....I think that's it? Right?

I watched this and then the smallest glimpse of a video where you talk about moving the weight down and forwards. I've just just hit some fantastic shots on the range, but got rained off.

I remember this swing tip from a VHS cassette titled "Faults & Fixes" or maybe "Tips & Drills" from the 90s. David Leadbetter created amazing instructional books and video tapes. Ask Nick Faldo who was responsible for his swing transformation and playing success, and he will without hesitation give credit to David Leadbetter. I practiced this pre-set drill for countless hours at the driving range...👍✌️💪🏌️

I have no idea what is going on in the first few seconds. Is this one of those intentionally ambiguous videos designed to be watched over and over to manipulate engagement? I blocked that older gentlemen with the white beard that wags his finger because it's not actually helpful. The rest seems good, I just start off confused and it makes the rest of it not make any sense as a result. Is the first one the right way, or second one?

That’s fine as a drill, the question is, how do you get into that position during the backswing

This is not helpful to many of us - you are gripping the shaft. You cannot make this open hand slapping motion as shown.

All you need to be able to do is execute this shot perfectly and your golden! on the off chance you don’t - you just sent the edge of your wedge into to the back of the ball at 80mph so get ready to yell FORE

With the shaft perpendicular like you show it, you have to manipulate it back on plane. If you brought it back on plane in the first place there would be less manipulation and more likely to have a solid ball contact.
