Callaloo is the best. Love it with Saltfish or even add it on some fried chicken back 😋 . I never buy chopped callaloo. 😕

I was searching for this exact video 3 days ago when I was making Callaloo and saltfish. Glad to see you put one out as your videos have become the best guide to any JA cooking on KZbin imo. I guess this means I’m having callaloo next week too 😂

📌 Callaloo is the national dish of Trinidad and Tobago! 🇹🇹 In Trinidad and Tobago, the term "callaloo" refers to a dish made from the young leaves of the dasheen plant, cooked down in coconut milk, okra, and seasonings. Interestingly, the Jamaican callaloo, which is amaranth, is known as Chorai Bhagi. 🌿 Both versions are packed with nutrients and loved for their rich, earthy flavor!

We used a tin can on the stove when I was younger, however, now we just buy the Grace bottle. Watching this video brings me back and I will definitely make my own next time I make my jerk marinate.

Born in Flawda from Haitian and Jamaican parents, I personally think there is no patty like Jamaican beef patty. But I’ll say Haitian food as a whole and Jamaican food is like putting Ali against Tyson, no one knows who would win.

Insane that tomatoes cost more than chicken! Also insane that commercial producers manage to make bottles of browning that don't taste good when it's literally just sugar and water! This dish looks divine - I'm absolutely trying this soon! 👏🏻 👏🏻

Yeah, Hurricane Beryl wiped out a bunch of farms, so it's taking a bit for production to bounce back.

Hi, I love your content. There’s nothing like freshly baked bread with butter. What else can I use instead of shortening ?
@feedandteach3 күн бұрын
Thanks! If you don’t want to use shortening, you can easily replace it at a 1:1 ratio with butter, lard, or any oil of your choice. Coconut oil works great, especially for a subtle coconut flavor, while oils like olive oil will give your bread a unique, richer flavor
