What about the Briggs and Riley torq and sympatico models?

The trunk (zipperless) options that I am considering are the Monos Hybrid Carry-on, the Level8 Hegent Carry-on 20" and the July Carry-on Trunk, if you are looking to do another comparison.

Will you please do the pen zipper test on all the suitcases and add that to the spreadsheet criterion? If you can push a pen through the zipper and get into the suitcase, that is an automatic dealbreaker for me and I have seen varying reviews on this but the reviews have been less scientific. Also, I want a suitcase that doesn’t easily get scraped or have superficial color only on the outside (meaning when it gets scraped you can see the color of the under product). Thank you for your very thorough and scientific approach to these reviews. Still looking for the suitcases I want to invest in.

After just a one-week trip without checking it in, I found scratches all over the surface. Additionally, the 100-day trial period only allows for the luggage to be inspected or tested in your living room. Please pay close attention to the fine print before making a decision.

The current measurements for most airline carry on is 22x14x9 inches. IMO, any bag that exceeds those dimensions is automatically disqualified. Once airlines begin to enforce those dimensions, all larger carry on bags will be rejected.

Just watched this video as I am looking to get an upgraded carryon since I am traveling a lot more. My one and only comment on this is, and maybe I missed you saying, the warranty on each of your bags is tested. You mentioned like banged-up corners and ripping seems on the internal panels, but I know some bags have a lifetime warranty, though I don't know that it covers like the corners and liners.

Any experience with it on Ryanair? July light expandable seems to be 1 cm too thick, but I wonder if it can be squished a bit to fit when measuring at check-in.
