@@emmaythegray i ignore the ink window, pretty worthless IMO. The nib is nice. Probably never be on my top 50 pens. It is in rotation, it could change.

@@jppenandink it’s classy looking, IMO. For a gold nib it’s reasonable. It’s a nice writing nib. The grip section I’m not crazy about.

The Lamy 2000 has a wonderful nib, and it is great for an everyday carry when you need to uncap your pen quickly. When pushing the cap back on the pen, it has a very pleasant feeling click. Most of the pens in my collection I bought for the looks of the pen. This one I bought for its usefulness. I do know one other person who found the grip to be too slippery. I avoid metal grips, but I naturally grip this pen on the Makrolon above the metal.

@@fountainpeninsanity3344 putting into a bag, great with the pen. The grip section I’m still working with, I will get there. The snapping of the cap, is satisfying.

@@Calcprof I really love the looks, it’s classy looking. What I have started doing is holding a bit higher. I’ve been happier with the pen. I like the nib. Not every pen is for everyone. Agree with what you said!

@@619to253 I love Visconti! When you order from #atlaspens there is a place to add a note. I wrote to customer service, they told to add the note. Visconti is known for some iffy nibs. I’m trying to expand what I always have liked. You’re welcome!

@@robbourne1950 we always need another Twsbi! I did film the inking. Not sure I like it my hands on camera. Not a lot going on, Helene is in her way. Things are back to normal. Of course playing with pens and ink. Thank you Rob for the smile! The Sailor Bungubox pen is so sparkly, I love it.

@@MrsAlchemist when the pen arrived I hoped it was what I thought it would be. The pen was Beyond my expectations. I have several other grail pens I want. Seems to be a cycle. Hoping you find your grail soon.

@@kagoya15 I agree! My tastes have changed a lot over the past 6+ months, it’s always involving into something I had no idea I wanted a few months ago. I have Urushi and raden pens (12 in total), they’re beautiful. Small makers I will always buy, I’ve started liking the Visconti, MontBlanc and others. Don’t forget the nibs! I love a crazy nib!

@@MrsAlchemist depends on how many pens I decide to put away. Usually it’s about 15-20 I put up, it takes a few weeks. Then deciding which pens, ink, figuring out where in the rainbow. Some of the ones might work I decide they did not, washed and put away. It takes sometime, I’m a bit picky. I’m hoping to have close to 50 inked by the end of the year. The glass nib piston filler is fun!

@@fountainpensinksmore3290 sounds like so much (fun) work you put in it behind the scenes! I totally get it being picky… that’s why I have so many samples and only a few bottles of the ones that work out nicely in pens ☺️ (I admit the bottles become more last months, somehow I found a lot of nice inks)

@@MrsAlchemist there are times it seems like work (when I’m not happy with the inks I picked for some of the pens), most of the time it’s not. I have about 400+ samples (most given to me from friends), I have around 200 bottles of ink. I have a friend who wants samples, the joy of the hobby is what works for you.

@@tantuplingthoughts 50 pen box it’s by Toyooka (they make amazing pen boxes), I’m using for currently inked and a 34 pen box from Amazon (currently inked). What I’m after is a floor model, hold about 120+ pens on wheels. The 100 pen box is beautiful, I gave 0 table room.

@@fountainpensinksmore3290 Ah, okay, I understand your predicament, ooo! I have not seen anything that's a floor model...yet! The only thing that comes to mind is one of those glass cabinets from Ikea but you would still have to put them in boxes within the cabinet. In any case, I would love to see what you come up with. I love watching FP storage videos

@@tantuplingthoughts Toyooka has made a floor model. I did talk to them at the SF Pen Show, I’ll have to message them. Not sure if they make them any more. Agree I love seeing how others store their pens.

Very nice! I have several grail pen wants! One is suppose to arrive tomorrow (we’ll see). I have notice my taste have changed a lot over the past 6 to 8 months. I’m thinking soon I’ll be purchasing less pens, loving each one I chose to add to the pen family. Who knows! I do need a better way to storing them! In time, it’ll come.

@@Neko-KittyLovesFountainPens I’m inland no hurricanes (usually?), tornadoes can happen. TS Debby dumped 10+” of rain in us in about 12 hours. Not bad. The inks are gorgeous, Oster show ink is stunning! Still about 4 pens (maybe 5) of haven’t inked yet! Soon they will be. I’m working myself up to 50 inked, in time I’ll make it. @@fountainpensinksmore3290 Ugh! I hate the extreme weather that has been happening for the past 15 years or so. Decades ago I used to live in Port St. Lucie, a frequent stop for hurricanes 🙄. I couldn't stand the heat, humidity, constant hurricane threat for many months out of the year, and the mold that was everywhere because St. Lucie, like most all the coast down there, is so close to sea level. If I remember correctly, St. Lucie is just 16 feet or so above sea level. You chose well to stay inland where the higher elevations are (less mold and humidity) and the chances for hurricanes are lower. Nonetheless, I always keep you in my thoughts, especially when weather is bad down there. You've had enough to deal with! Stay safe!!

@@Neko-KittyLovesFountainPens the weather is crazy! The warm water it’s going fuel the TS. The news is horrible, if you’re new to the area you’d think the whole state will be gone (I remember my first, I asked hubs to come home, he was out of town, he did). It won’t be like TS Debby, who dumped 10+” of rain in 11 hours on us. Helene is wind with 2” or so of rain. I knew NOTHING by the any water! I’ve found they really don’t know where she’ll land. Looks like Cat. 4, who knows. We can have tornadoes 🌪️ from the storm, our house is newer, built to high wind standards, really helps. He’s to not a horrible storm ☔️

@@Nicomacobr thank you 💗 A lot of people love M200, for myself they’re light, in my hand. Very nice writer. My M600 I like, I need to try M800 and M1000 at the next pen show in August. See if they’re to my liking. The L2000 another nice pen, for some reason my fingers don’t like the metal section, Leonardo’s are nice. Buy what you love! All brands have their pros and cons (different pens). What works for myself, may not for you. It’s the fun of the hobby! I love my Visconti!

@@StaticCling99 next month looks like 46 with the Halloween pens (what I call Halloween pens). My goal is 50 pens inked. Still thinking how many I’ll allow in rotation and how long. A few will be in rotation for quite sometime. 50 pen by January.

@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 Debby dumped some on us (10” maybe a 1 or 2 inches more). Red and pink inks I find stain the most. I have had some blue inks stain. If you like sparkles (I do) you’ll love the Cinderella Pen. I didn’t know if I’d like it, until I saw it! I already had the ink at home. It’s a piston filler.

@@Journalesq the specialty nibs are so fun! I have quite a few, been collecting them for years. The ground nibs are amazing as well. My fountain pen collection has changed over time, I’m loving MontBlancs, Visconti and more.

@@robbourne1950 we do get some (a lot) thunderstorms in Florida. I wish I was that talented at editing, I’m not. I love for a juicy nib! Crazier the better. I do match my pens and ink (as close as possible), I found it’s easier to figure out what color ink is in the pen. Currently inked is going with the rainbow (I try). The faux onion skin is Via Airmail by Life paper. It’s from Vanness.

It’s a beautiful ink.
