Was considering taking one of these tours but after seeing how much weight between passengers and carriage one horse has to pull I can't support their animal abuse.
@ariellewilson7302 жыл бұрын
It depends on where it's at. I've looked up and watched videos of this carriage company, finding out that these horses do, in fact, live on Sugah Cain Plantation, wear rubber horseshoes, temperature is monitor, and regular vet examinations, etc. Draft Equines are meant to pull heavy loads because back before farmers had machinery, they have to make due with the cold-blooded breeds to help out on the ranch. Not all carriage rides are bad. I repeat, it depends on where it's at. Just because there are cities that don't allow horses out in a pasture doesn't mean all cities are like that. It's like calling a person abusive when they have a whip, having good horse people who have common sense get thrown underneath the bus. Next time you say carriage rides are cruel, ask first, because not all of them are bad.
@bobrambo5618 Жыл бұрын
Arielle if you had actually watched this video you would know that this is the one I was referring to, not just a blanket statement about all of them.
@Carriesue1982 Жыл бұрын
Haha these carriages are on wheels, they are not pulling as much as you think and are capable of pulling much, much heavier loads. These horses are treated very well

These people would love the Orlando Wetlands Park in Christmas, FL. There's almost always gators out there sunbathing by the lakes and swamps right off the dirt roads that circle around the water. Most important make sure they read the signs " Do Not Approach The Alligators" this out in the wild no protection net here.

I think the carriage rides are cruel. Those poor horses have to work in100 plus heat index not to mention the pollution and asphalt pulling a lot of weight and they have all of the heavy gear on. I’m sure they have to pull a lot of fat people around , you always see heavy people in them and heavy people driving them. the carriage weighs I’m guessing more than 1,000 lbs
@Tom-yl7xw2 жыл бұрын
You do realize that those horses will get severe arthritis and not be able to walk if not exercised plus those horses can pull up to 8000 pounds that carage is only around 2000
@user-jf3ee9nd4i2 жыл бұрын
@@Tom-yl7xw exercise and pulling over 1 thousand pounds are two different things. Learn from the wild horses in North Carolina. Hmmmm, they are certainly not pulling fat lazy people in extreme temps and conditions. They are actually doing what horses do.
@user-jf3ee9nd4i2 жыл бұрын
@@Tom-yl7xw in fact “Tom” pulling those carriages will give them arthritis. You do get dumbest comment on you tube award. 🎉🎉
@Carriesue1982 Жыл бұрын
@@user-jf3ee9nd4i lol you apparently do not know how these horses are treated. They have a farm off site, they get vacation days at the farm, only work 3 days a week and get lots of breaks during the day where they get sprayed down with water and have their own fans blowing on them. They are treated very well. You sound mostly just like an asshole to be honest
@user-jf3ee9nd4i Жыл бұрын
@@Carriesue1982 I see the horses walking in the extreme heat. They don’t look too happy, kinda sad actually. For you to say that I’m an asshole because I have compassion for the well being of the horses is telling. I would say you are the asshole. Thanks for your stupid comment.
