Great video! Very smooth capture for a casual quick setup. After the new Skelly mesh attach mode, I will resume the work on the official addon to help with the visualization. But remember that the current official addon already has the motion paths and the base of support menus. You just need to enable the addon which was installed when exporting the capture. It should work if you load just one capture. Not the best UX but it should be working.

Hello! First, make sure that you are following all the instructions from the documentation site (don't skip the stuff about making a virtual environment!) How is this freemocap any useful when setting up is a headache? Even after you manage to do it all and your finally in blender all you'll have is a dance skeleton because transferring the animation to another mesh is near impossible

Hi, this is pretty wild! If I use a couple android phones and want to connect to my Mac as wifi webcams, seems I have to use software such as Camo. Will this sort of middle man software impact FreeMoCap? Thanks. BTW - maybe have the developers work on a constraints system so that joints/bones are never allowed to undergo impossible deformations. Also, will it work if you are holding an object? I am trying to find a way to do motion capture while playing my guitar, in which case I am seated, also at times walking with or without guitar. I don't need accurate capture of my hands playing guitar. I am using mocap to generate 3D models to then cast shadows and reflections in 3D scenes. When I film I don't show my whole body, but if I have android phones as webcams for the capture do you forsee any issues doing mocap in my use case? Thanks again!

Hi, there would not be a problem in using android phones as webcams. But you can also use the prerecorded videos option where you record in each device locally and then import the videos to the program. Regarding playing the guitar you could overcome occlusion by a good placement of the cameras. I think it should work fine if you don't mind a not ultra accurate finger capture.

I'm particularly interested in exploring free, image-based motion capture systems that use multiple cameras for triangulation in 3D space. Anka Chen's project "kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYOxin5pgpyfZ7M&ab_channel=AnkaChen" served as a great inspiration, but it currently lacks head motion support. Ideally, the system would focus on marker/pattern detection for high-precision 3D reconstruction, even with occlusions. Similar to ILM's IMocap system where the use of witness cameras is incorporated in their workflow. This would be a game-changer for low-budget studios, indie projects, and students like myself, allowing us to incorporate high-quality motion capture into our work. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of publicly available information on such marker-based systems, but FreeMoCap could be a starting point.
