Remember those days, was there 81-94 working in Frankfurt, and passed the base almost daily, and visited off and on from work. Left country in 98, and will be back in July 2024 for a visit.

Good machine 💪, we had a 1976 model and it was a Beast! Sometime in the 90s, it caught on fire and burnt. We found that the front rotor bearing had gone out. We were cutting soybeans here in Georgia, that bean dust just ignited. I believe it would still be a great machine if that hadn't of happened! We had a 510 Massy Ferguson and a M2 Gleaner too. I would check those rotor bearings!

The song sung here, "Eve of Destruction," was actually the Turtles last charted single. It reached number 100 in 1970, after being released by White Whale records, without the knowledge or permission of the Turtles (who by then had broken up and were in litigation with their former record company.)

If you have some land, they are very useful.

In my honest opinion, if you need a tractor and 2wd will suffice its hard to beat a older Ford, even a 88 or Jubilee, N series, but they're getting a bit pricy these days, but a Ford like this one or a series 2, or a Massey Ferguson around the same size and age would be hard to beat.

What ever you decide to buy, make sure parts are still available for the model you are interested in. If you are not mechanically inclined, find out who fixes old tractors in your area & what brands they specialize in. Most dealers will charge you an arm & a leg to work on an old tractor. At least that has been my experience.

I went there in Feb of 1989 with my Army Unit for a skiing trip, I didn’t ski, I explored! There was a bombed out bldg close to the Gen. Walker that my buddies and I explored. All very interesting and totally beautiful area! Thanks for sharing!
