Having Autism I found ever since getting my first jaw harps that they've always helped me getting to a very unique and special place in my mind. It's weird how such a simple instrument can really have so much power in clearing the thoughts and chatter in your head and help meditation and stimulate mental wellbeing and clear thinking. I always remember after playing for a while I could still feel the vibrations of the harp in my head and skull and it was a very calming experience even quite long after I finished playing it. Now I suppose I got a bit more used to it and doesn't quite last as long after, but certainly while playing it I still enjoy feeling the vibrations of the harp through my head anyway and they definitely contribute to the experience. It is very nice how different tuned harps also feel different when playing them. It is also amazing for how technically simple of an instrument it is, and yet there are so many different things you can do and achieve with it, by combining different breathing patterns, mouth shapes and tongue placements etc. But regardless, it is also amazing just how much it helps you connect with your inner self and tap into the very depths of your mind and emotions and helps you connect with yourself, letting you focus your mind and sort things out inside. It also helps you connect with your surroundings at the same time too. Like someone else has said, whether you're out in the middle of the woods or car park or just your room or even an empty Church, it all helps you ground yourself and connect with your surroundings, helping you feel the essence of that place and use it as part of your meditation experience to enhance your awareness. It's like the jaw harp allows you to really hone in and focus, train your mind and allow your ears and mind to really listen in. It is really amazing experience, you won't know until you really try it for yourself. To me, the jaw harp is an essential instrument and one that is very mental health friendly too.

*Not annoying, but amazing lol. Read it again and it must have been the keyboard's autocorrection screwing me over lol 😅😂. Going to correct my comment haha.

What do you recommend for getting the “buzziest” sound? I have a pavel potkin vargan that I got to start on a few years ago and I like its sound a lot, but it’s very smooth and melodic and I’d like to branch out into something punchier
