Hi. One or the other is all that's required. It's not necessary to use both. Please ensure to clean the wound with soap and water previously and then dry the wound as thoroughly as possible prior to applying the Silver Honey or Microcyn. Thanks for the comment. Let us know how it goes.

The smell is the real indicator for my chihuahua. The vet injected a product in her ears and she’s 20x better. Couldn’t be happier

Vet meds seem to go nowhere that polysporin wont. Getting quite worried about one of mine.

With my choc lab. I clean with medicated soap. I use hydrogen peroxide sometimes. I am using yeast infection cream from drug store for in his ear.

You may want to be careful using hydrogen peroxide or alcohol as it can cause inflammation to the ear canal and may worsen an ear infection.

@@pawstreetmarket it sure does foam up and clean. Some cream soozes the red. Not a usual treatment but occasionally . I also heard it could kill good bacteria and cause grief also. So I am unsure.

I used a vinegar water solution at first and it helped but hurts in any dilution. Also used polysporin to help control. Now trying canestan but that seems to build up gunk whereas polysporin is absorbed.
