Much gratitude for this illuminating video! I am a speech and debate instructor trying to incorporate these important concepts into not only my own daily practice but also my students’. Many of our youths today need calm and quiet in their noisy, frenetic, fast-paced lives.

*The depth of insight in this video is incredible. I loved the way it highlighted the importance of silence during moments of anger and suffering. The analogy of the two arrows was particularly powerful and has given me a new perspective on how to handle my emotions more constructively. Thank you for this thoughtful and inspiring content!*

You will discover through the course of your life that there are words or situations that can “trigger” you. There’s an old saying about when you’re angry count to 10 slowly. There’s a reason for that. It allows you to pause and not be so reactive to the situation. Also, the silence protects you from causing harm to yourself or others. So when you are “triggered“ think about why that is. What was the situation in your past that you never dealt with that now becomes a sore spot if someone, who may have no knowledge of that situation, says something that rubs you the wrong way. Maturity comes from your own control in a given situation. You have no control over what someone else does or says. However, you do have control over how you react to it.❤️

You explore the questions of humanity by referring to the accumulated answers of humanity, and it has no value whatsoever. Either you are the truth, the fact, the actual, or you are not. If you are the truth, then you need to understand yourself in order to understand the truth. If you are not the truth, then as illusion you need to dissolve yourself in order to see clearly the truth. Perhaps both are true on different levels, but either way, it is only you yourself that can do it, not the answers left by the dead who may or may not have ever understood the truth themselves.
