Haha! I don't know if it is normally that windy, or just a fluke. But this was the southern side near Titikaveka Beach. Muri Lagoon is a really good area - it also had some wind but not as much. Might also have been the time of year we traveled.

Yep that's probably the Muri Lagoon area then! Its slightly south east but a very calm bay if you will. Way calmer than the south side when we went. In the Raro vlog before this, when we go kayaking with the dog, that is Muri Lagoon. Definitely recommend that area, and make sure you walk to the Muri night market for dinner too!

Right! There were so few visitors when we went! It was like having a tropical paradise to ourselves.

Haha! It was my first time on a scooter too! I was intimidated at first because I am super clumsy, but then ended up having a blast. I wouldn't dare try scootering in Raro but Aitutaki was low stress. We also had soo much fun on the golf carts. You definitely can rent a car but I would make sure to book it in advance! I think if our resort didn't offer the scooters & carts we would have rented a car so we could get around to the restaurants.

Oh you will have the most peaceful vacation going solo! You will love it. Make sure you book the Vaka Cruise, that was our favorite part of the entire trip! I think it was so empty because we went after peak season. But overall I think it's not as major of a tourist destination yet? Haha, we didn't have any issues with crabs. Mostly it was at night we saw them. I would recommend water shoes though for sure for going in the water. Lots of sea life in general

Aw thank you so much! :) Yeah I was very worried about the weight. To be safe we still kept it under weight and the right sizes. We didn't want the gamble and possibly have the stress of having to pay extra or get rid of stuff.

Hi! Thanks for watching. For water view I think the beachfront rooms would definitely a lot better. Our view had some ocean view, but not much - more looking over the grounds. Still a beautiful view, and we traveled during sargassum season, so didn't really care to look at that anyways. Although our rooftop rooms were facing the resort, we felt it was quite private because they're laid out on an angle and the dividers between rooms are high. When you're back in your plunge pool no one can really see you. (Not private of course downstairs in the jacuzzi!) When we walked the resort and saw the beachfront rooms, there is much less separation from next door neighbors as the dividers are partially glass. But if you check out our walkthrough video around 8:10 we walk past the beachfront rooms and around the 12:10 min mark you can see the rooftop rooms we stayed in for comparison: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoPTiJmVo9KfaaM. I hope you have so much fun at Excellence! It's one of our top resorts! :)

I ended up randomly seeing a video tour of one of the rooftop honeymoon beachfront suites on KZbin and it looked way better than I thought! Maybe you should go for that one!

But I do have a Nikon Z30 vlogging camera that I use for many of my talking segments. It was probably that you liked, because we have a like $20-$30 ND filter put on the lense that enhances the colors. But, they make ND filters for iphones too! Thank you so much! The food was good. We really enjoyed dining at both Verandah and Eight Rivers but especially loved the atmosphere at Eight Rivers. Buffet was pretty standard for a resort and then we weren't able to try Bayside during our stay.

Thank you so much!! For this walkthrough we actually used my Nikon Z30 vlogging camera with a gimbal just to try it out. (It's a total pain so don't recommend.) However, for most of our walkthroughs, we use our iPhones and the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 gimbal which we absolutely LOVE! That's what I would recommend. Yes, there were partial ocean view (which we had in both rooms), ocean view, and ocean front. I know the ocean front is a small section of the front of the tower directly in front of the beach area. I’m not 100% sure about ocean view, but I am thinking it’s the mid rise portion, higher floors, that look across the grounds at the ocean. I hope you have a ton of fun!

However this was a couple years back now, and the drone is older.. so if it were to get confiscated on our travels, it wouldn't be the end of the world for us. We went mid January this year! Weather wasn’t great.. mostly clouds and a little cool for the pool. (Still a fantastic time through!) wasnt terribly crowded at all, but probably looks like less in the video as we try to film when people aren’t around. I hope you have a fantastic time!

The family-friendly Ocean Suites portion of the resort does offer rooms with balconies. For us, we wanted the cheapest room possible because we were only staying there for a night to go to Flamingo Island.
