Shame you checked it out in 1.5x, it’s still a good song but it doesn’t give the same vibe really, the song at a normal speed has low and high points, ending in a very very bright part, but when sped up the whole song sounds brighter, removing some of the contrast. You already checked two of my favorite Minami songs, those being Hollowness and my personal favorite Lilac in this video, so I’d recommend checking out Rude Lose Dance from her channel, it has a music video unique to it even though the song was made for an anime, Record of Ragnarok season 2, similar to what she did for the Domestic Girlfriend opening.

The best way i can type out the pronouciation is I-e-shi-teh A in japanese is more of an Ah sound than Ay (Looking back on this comment and it really doesn't work well. Maybe I-she-teh?)

This video taught me an important lesson about CGI. Everyone always says the black tears were added via CGI, then they see her wiping it around. Then I saw a “making of” video about this. The actual black tears are real. There’s a thin tube running through her hair, across her forehead, and it splits so the tubes end at her tear ducts. So, they DID use CGI, but only to remove the tube, not to add the tears. It’s super obvious that CGI can be used to erase stuff also, but this video taught me to think that way.

I love this song, one of my favorite tracks of 2024! Btw. the "I sang" ("歌いました") is not part of the song title but she always adds it to her cover videos to indicate it's a cover. 🙂

I actually didn't notice that I listened to the song in 1.5x speed. I didn't notice because whether you listen to Minami in normal or sped up, it's still sooo damn good, However, I do apologize, it is my mistake and will make sure in the future that it doesn't happen again. Thanks to someone in the comments pointing it out.

On her KZbin channel, there's actually only a few songs, all of them are masterpieces, so you can check out any of them that you want (unfortunately a lot of her old songs aren't available there anymore since she changed record labels a few years ago). She also recently started uploading acoustic versions of some songs, just her and her guitar in her room. So far she uploaded 2 of them, where you can really get an appreciation for her raw vocals.

I'm not sure if this is just for the video to avoid copyright or if you've actually listened to it in 1.5x speed, but since you say that you hear these effects on her voice, you might have accidentally watched it in a higher speed without noticing.
