I really struggled to watch the video because of this loud, energetic music in the background. Spectators can't concentrate with it!

I currently am raising a baby in France as an expat and I can tell you that French mothers seem relaxed because they don’t actually raise their babies. Pretty much all of them start working after 3-4 months, so they stop taking care of their children full-time from when their babies are only 3-4 months old. Also, French babies are well-behaved because French parents are strict, sometimes hitting and yelling at their babies.

I'm so glad my mother created a safe environment for me to be able to approach her. I still went through my teen angst but her first instinct was to comfort me before scolding me. I love her and tell her every day. And I hope parents that are hard on their children and create fear for them have a lot of time to think about it when their kids abandon them in old age.

I love your videos. I am a Japanese American from Hawaii and speak only English. (My Mom refused to teach me Japanese because she didn't want me working for a Japanese company some day. She got upset when I said I wanted to study Japanese in college.) I just moved to Japan with my family (since my Mom got sick and I want to spend more time with her before she passes). Our daughter spent 7 years in California and speaks English. But she also speaks Japanese with her Mom and her Japanese is improving in school in Japan. Everyone always stares at us when I speak English with her in Japan. I think it's funny. But there are so many English speaking Asians from the US, UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong, so I don't fully understand why Japanese people still think it looks strange. WHen I travel to Europe everyone stares at me when I speak English. THe Europeans think it's odd to see an Asian speaking English, and the Chinese, Korean, and Japanese tourists are also astonished. Oh well !!!!!! I am worried my daughter will forget her English. And it's going to be difficult working, trying to learn Japanese myself, and trying to help my daughter maintain and further develop her English reading and writing skills. My daughter thinks it's hilarious that my Japanese is so bad

I was wondering if a child can be taught the same word in 3 different languages at the same time. I was planning to play 3 different languages toys one after another. After child say the word in one language then I will play a talking toy in another language for the same word and so on. Thank you

1. Do it through their interests (otherwise it's not fun and they will resist) 2. Dont force it 3. Learning a language is a LONG PROCESS 4. For multiple languages, try "1 person, 1 language", where they have a specific person who they speak to in the language that person understands. What did I miss, that stood out to you? Nice interview 👌 👍

That was fantastic! I’m pregnant with my first baby and we’re Brazilian. My husband and I were talking about raise her as a bilingual child. So he’ll be talking only in Portuguese and I’ll be talking in English. This is called OPOL, I guess. So my point is, besides studying a lot about it, we need to be consistent and also creative to do some activities with her. And to learn baby vocabulary because I’ve been studying English since 2005 and I’ve never saw those kind of things in my entire life. I hope that I can do my best for her 🤰🏻💖

Here's a question. How do you best teach the language if your partner doesn't understand your mother language? I speak German and English, my husband only speaks English. Your approach with only using one language per parent at home sounds really good, but is it going to confuse the kid if I talk German to it and then respond in English to my husband? Maybe I'm overthinking it.... 😅

I am an American living in America with my Taiwanese wife and one-year-old son. We speak only Chinese to each other and to him inside and outside the house. My question is: should I at some point start talking to him in English too? Or just let him learn at school when he starts kindergarten?

He will pick it up very quickly in school! I think the best technique would be to try and enforce Chinese only in the home so that he continues to speak that well.

This woman in the middle is easily considered a foreigner in Korea. I can tell she is American Korean. She also looks like a Korean Chinese not like traditional Korean. The other ladies are normal Korean mothers and they are pretty to Korean beauty standards.

I'm in awe about the topic you choose so talk about. It's so important for all the women. I haven't moved abroad but I moved to a big city (for my boyfriend and studies) from a very small countryside village and share some of the experiences of expats even if it sounds funny because it's still the same country. I love these conversation videos Serina🧡

PKY toner essence is great. BUT it is not moisturizing. It is hydrating. Sometimes people mix up the 2 words. Because it is not moisturizing at all, it works well for all skin types, oily included. Really great toner with wonderful texture.
