Thank you for your tutorial and pattern. I needed 128 stitches for the right size hat. Can you please tell me how the decrease in this case would proceed? I get 9 rows per inch of knitting. Thank you so much!

Really struggling with knitting past the first row. It gets tight and I’ve taken it out a few times.

Very new to trying anything other than a scarf. Im not a person that can follow directions well but i managed to get my first one done. It slightly resembles a sock puppet due to running out of yarn and having to select another color

I started with 2-3 old pattern and while placing the markers for yoke I see that we need 72 stitches but in the pattern after the decrease we are asked to have total of 70 stitches. Can I adjust this while increasing the stitches?

This tutorial was perfect! I wanted to make a hat for my 7month old and 4 year old cousins. This pattern was so much fun! If I had just made something up I probably wouldn’t have included a brim which is arguably pretty important. The kids loved it and it fit both of them perfectly (although being a little long as expected on the baby lol) (but he looked like a little hipster so it was totally worth it) The simple stitches required made it easy to work on between classes, while watching TV, and even on the subway! Now I wanna make my aunt and uncle adult sized versions too! (They can all be match-y match-y)

Really cute sweater but I definitely need to make some adjustments. Followed your pattern for 6-9 mos. In the pattern, it states to knit the back until it measures 11 inches. I’m on the first sleeve and followed the pattern exactly. In order to incorporate the four decreases at every 14 rows (or 7 garter stitches), the sleeve now measures about 11 inches. It looks enormous! It’s both too wide and too long (it appears to be a couple inches longer than the body). I wonder if doing a decrease row immediately when adding the 6 stitches at the armpit would have made a difference. Instead I did my first decrease 14 rows from the armpit. <Sigh> I’m going to have to take it all apart and start over. I very much appreciate your step by step video. UPDATE: I ended up doing a decrease row on every 4th right side row after the initial cast on row. I decreased a total of 9 times instead of only 4 times. Looks really good and measures approximately 7 inches too. After the decreases I ended up with 31 stitches before casting off. Great video! Your explanations were so easy to follow..ty so much!

Hi! Thanks for your tutorial. I have a question about the yarn size. If I use yarn weight 4 (worsted) does that make a difference in the sizing? for example if I want to knit the size 2 yr with DK yarn I need to cast on 26 sts. if I use worsted yarn should I cast on less?

Rather than comment, don’t watch. You have been provided free instructions on something. The emotion should be gratitude, not frustration. She was actually very good at a good pace.

A good tip for the provisional cast on method is to hold the yarn in your left hand while working with your crochet provisional cast on. It makes it so much easier and a lot quicker but do whatever you think is easiest for you.
