Where did you get the vented air box cover?
@ktmrider_45
@ktmrider_45 17 күн бұрын
@ckupczynski you should get one from your dealer when you buy it, it might only before for SX models. UFO also makes one. KTM patented all their plastics with these new bikes so you have either buy OEM or somehow UFO made their own.

Thanks for the video man it sounds like you found the sweet spot! I have a '24 250XC-W and am trying to find the same "sweet spot". So far I've dropped the forks in the triple clamps to flush, gone up two teeth in the rear and switched for the more aggressive throttle cam and added one mil more of rider sag than the manual suggested so I'm at 111mm of sage to balance out the bike. It's all definitely been a step in the right direction but I've been thinking more about getting the off set triple clamps and some of the TSP options to wake her up a little further and combat that busy front end! Thanks for the motivation! Cheers!

@ParkerRichards360 same, I run 14/51 gearing and forks flush at the triple clamps. The new frame has a tall head angle so making the front end taller and setting your sag to 103mm helps make the bike more predictable and less twitchy.

I have a 2024 250 xc-w. I run my chain 55mm measuring behind the upper chain guide with a pro motion chain checker. The recommended is 55-58mm so maybe I need to loosen it. I know it squats under power. If it's too loose it slaps as I let off the throttle. That chain stretched a bunch at first then settled in at the second to last mark on the swing arm.

Great video ! Absolutely been running my chain too tight, now I know enough to give her a lil slack ! I did notice with it tight it just would not settle in like my ole 17 ' would.

I have brand new 24 250sx and it falls flat on top end 1st and second gear any idea why ?
@ktmrider_45
@ktmrider_45 2 ай бұрын
@ReelLyferOS no clue. Other than dirty/over-oiled filter starving it for air or if it's not throwing an FI code idk. Try replacing your fuel line filter and tank pick up filter, if the gas line has any dirt/debris in it, it can make the bike feel sluggish.

The best tip is too boycott ktm till they get their shit together..qaulity is a real issue !..for 13 or 14 grand for a dirt bike this kind of thing is unacceptable!

Do you know anything about the ignition coil? I have a 24 250XC hit 10hrs. an has a code bike runs just doesn’t like idling sometimes
@ktmrider_45
@ktmrider_45 4 ай бұрын
I had that code too never replaced the ignition coil. Got a ktm rep to wipe the ecu and download the most recent software/maps and it went away. These bikes like to throw random nuisance codes. Next best thing you can do is buy a Two Stroke Performance mapping tool that you can clear codes and map the bike yourself.

Going through the squish deal now. Did a top end at 37hr trying to get rid of random bog on my 2023 300xc. The old gasket measured .58-.64, I went with a .62 and my bike is too tame, runs super clean and great but feels more like a 250. Power band seems shorter. Going to have to use the solder thing and see where squish is at. Plus when I put power valves back in I could not get it back to 48 mm, like 47 or 47mm was all though it’s an odd angle to measure. The fuel pump is was seems to have solved the random bog issue, old pump tested at 48psi and just didn’t seem strong. New pump is 50psi and hits it instantly. Plus ktm updated the new pump apparently, the new ones part number ends in 200, the old one ends in 100.

Nothing map switch is fine. Pretty sure you can remove it completely because gasgas bikes don't come with them. It's the start switch that's junk.

Finally, someone that knows his chit on these bikes. Yes, I've said the same things you have but not many people listen. Chain, has to be super loose! Great info, thank you! Didn't know about the squish but good to know.

Only thing I didn't add was the tps reset but too many people are messing with the voltage and that actually hurts the bike worse because the stock tps voltage is how it comes set up for from the factory. Everyone is chasing this 4.00 VDC and it can still make it worse.
