Hi, I know this might be random but I need some help. I am a year 11 student ( going in to year 12). Im doing really bad in my exams and studies but I want to do health sciences and either got into dentistry or physiology. I feel like its too late to start studying and I dont know how to study. Can you give me some advice and tell me if its too late for me to pursuit my dreams
@MohammadAlfraihi19 күн бұрын
It's never too late. There are many alternate pathways that don't need an atar. After school you can study a diploma of health sciences or something of the sort, usually at most unis, provided that you do well you can start a bachelors degree once you have a diploma. For study techniques try active recall.

Thanks for making this video, I'm a sophomore in college in the US, and am at a turning point in my mind for either going into dentistry or medicine. Originally I wanted to be a doctor but now as I watch more and more of these I find myself leaning towards dentistry--orthodontics in particular. Keep up the good videos!

Hi! Amazing Video ❤ just wanted to know, you mentioned your friend Jaffar. I just wanted to know if he is from India Or Pakistan Or any muslim country? Hey, I’m currently a year 12 student and I’ve been getting lots of Merits in especially bio, and stats. Does getting merit course endorsements matter a lot for application to biomed if you took NCEA? Thanks
@HarryTheAdventurer4 ай бұрын
Hey! As long as you meet the rank score for Biomed any other additional achivements doesn't matter at all.

Hi Harry I love your videos - they are very informative and helpful for us students intending on studying medicine. Some questions I have are: does UoA Biomed look at leadership roles? Do they look at extracurriculars? and - Is the rank score the only thing you need to meet to get in? Thanks !
@HarryTheAdventurer4 ай бұрын
Hey Sarah, thank for watching and I'm glad you found them useful. Rank score is the only thing you need to meet to get in. Leadership roles or extracurriculars play no roles in biomed entry but if you're intending on studying medicine, you could talk about them in your med school interview at the end of biomed and hopefully it can help.

I have a question Did the med students in uk/us have any kind of salary while having intership?
@HarryTheAdventurerАй бұрын
@@mok2092 I believe internship is paid in both countries. But that is after graduating medical school, during which generally doesn’t grant any salary. Best to check with the individual institutions offering the internship. Thanks for watching!

Hey just wondering for first year biomed does everyone who take biomed attend the same lectures at the same time? Or is it split up into different sessions? Thanks
@HarryTheAdventurer5 ай бұрын
There's morning stream and afternoon streams, half the people attend the morning and half attend the afternoon, but you can always stream hop. Otherwise the lectures are the same. For labs and tutorials, they are split up into different sessions. Hope it helps!
