Halfway between the north of Scotland and Iceland. The people speak an archaic Norwegian. A culture that would have gone a long time ago, but it has nowhere to go.

@@markcarey8426 Ha, that explains. Yeah the Faeroer are not Polynesia. I've been there a few times and it did have charm for me, but I understand it's not for everyone.

@@PetrHenkemann Yes I understand it might have charm for some. I live in the country surrounded by bush so I already have a natural environment. I suspect a lot of the people who think these islands are romantic and natural and all that live in crowded cities.

Dat der Puffin is a Newfoundlander B'y! I see that we have flights from Hamilton Ontario Canada to Iceland, are there any airlines that fly to the Faroe Islands from Canada? Anybody know? Im very interested in making this the first place to visit outside of North America! Im definitely going to time it for one of Eivør's performances! Yeah I'm sure its simple to search, but my computer skills are limited to KZbin, Facebook and PornHub! (I'm obviously brutally honest!)

There are, it seems, flights from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver. Generally pretty expensive, but occasionally quite cheap. With stops. There is, apparently, a direct flight from New York, with the Faroese international company Atlantic Airways. A travel agency should be able to give you all informations needed.
