Returning to the Spirit of St Louis since my first listen in 1981. Such a unique album and unique voice. ❤

Minor hit in Netherlands (#45) and Australia (#48) in 1981. It is a bit strange in that although it was written by Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, and produced by Jones, it sounds like 70s Europop. Apart from the somewhat sassy lyrics, I could imagine Nana Mouskouri singing it.

Were those the guys from the Clash in the video? They kinda looked like them.

I have just recently stumbled on this song it's so cool and so is ellen foley that moment at the beginning the two guys doing dance steps on the street presume its London with sandwich bar sign in the background and all those vintage cars brill love that touch.
