Rarely does an SF title manage to make the long-ago galactic precursors feel so genuinely ancient and lost to time, or make you feel like there's somehow ages worth of drifted sand in outer space now blowing off the stony face of a horror better left buried. I hope HW3 keeps up this same "swords & sandals" sensibility and things like the Sanskrit lyrics here, I absolutely loved it at the time and still do, it's such an impeccable combination with meticulously imagined starships.

You know, one of the thing that really disappointed me was the fact that their was no second race. as it is really not that hard to see the tidan being sent into exile. In fact one could argue if the higarains had a better PR team. They would have been able to sway the console in their favor. Even thou they just slipped past the titdan line in order to Nuke their home world. They could have easily been the ones to lose their homeworld. would have made a truly unique experience to see the story change. Their not going back to their fabled homeworld. But the one of their most powerful and brutal enemies. one that could have been easily just as corrupt and despotic as the Tidan empire was. Hell if anything taught me anything. Home world cataclysm showed that the Higarain people were just as corrupt if not more then their counter parts. Where each Kith or house would try to fuck eachother over. That their race was not really united.
