Is it safe to have an Apoxsee countertop that close to the grill? Will the Apoxsee melt?

Wow! Thank you for posting this! I’ve been sloooowly remodeling my kitchen for 2 years now and getting dangerously close to time to do the countertops but still haven’t found an epoxy look that I like. This is it! No fake looking colors or textures or fracture lines…I’m going to try to get as close to your end product as possible, but with a few careful places clear mica flakes crumbles up along the darker lines to simulate a crystal-type layer. Again, thank you so very much for solving my dilemma!!!

Are you mixing by hand or a paddle in a drill? I'm surprised that you didn't include an after its cured visual. Are you adding any finish or buffing mechanically or by hand? Are you coming back in an hour and addressing drips or anything else or is that too late? If you need to buff any areas or the entire piece is there a recomended compound that works best? What is the cure time before you set a cup pf coffee on it or kitchen appliances? Are there any cleaners or chemicals to avoid? How long do you wait before introducing any cleaners or is there any recomended time to wait for different types of material to use or avoid to not scratch it? What is the difference between a heat gun and a torch? Does carbon monoxide differ from just a change in temperature? I have obviously not poured any epoxy but I'm not convinced that the average homeowner is capable of pulling this off without making mistakes. I was going to use epoxy but having second thoughts
