@@drg2109 Yeah, should be fine if your speakers and sound system are the correct ohmage for each other. Should be a nice quick one to just cut off some of the wire with the plugs on. I'd leave enough wire on the end of the plug so that you can either splice the cable back together if you ever need them again or even just sell them on the Internet. Last I checked the price of a plug with some wire went for £5 each.

I think depending on the speakers, it doesn't matter all that much as the current is technically AC and not DC coming out of the terminal and so can go either direction to generate the sound waves. What matters the most is ensuring all the speakers are wired to the same polarity, so that puts it down to you to stick positive polarity to one side and keep it to the same side for remaining speakers.
