The only sustainable way for globalized international economy is socialism. The simple reason for this is that the inhabitants of this world must understand that consumption is not "a free right" just because some have enough money to pay for it; it must be in line with the planet's resources. Sorry, but as long as people believe that having a home with a swimming pool and three cars per family is a free right, this economy will never be sustainable. Unfortunately, sustainability and capitalism do not go hand in hand... All the rest are fairy tales with dragons for 6 years old children.
So overly simplistic it almost makes the video worthless, almost.

One idea is better than the other and history has shown that. Name any country where individual rights are protected and I will show you a prosperous and stable country. Also, higher taxes and social policies aren't socialist per se. You could in theory pay out dividends to society as a whole a.k.a ideas like UBI or NIT. Also, collective ownership is not an issue in capitalism, collective management is. People can own stocks in any company and they do. Most tech companies for example are owned by the people who created them. Historically capitalism has had the best track record of any system. Socialism is garbage and capitalism with socialist policies is okay-ish.

Ok, first of all good video and good explanation. But I couldnt disagree more on the last sentence... ok lets play a game... tell me one successfull and rich socialist country that didnt went bancrupt and or produced poverty, inequality and lower standards of living including the fact that in a lot of these countries people literally starved to death... well there is none, so capitalism is the winner...ALWAYS. But to be fair there are one or two good ideas from the left like social backup systems.

At 1:18, she says that according to the Right, or Individualism or Capitalism, the needs of each individual is greater than the needs of the whole group. That's an unfair assessment. What "needs" could she be talking about other than Freedom? And does that notion include Anarchy, which is what society desolves into without any Laws, which are a society's voluntary agreements to put limits on individuals' freedoms?

This makes it very simple. The Left treats you like you are children. Therefore the government can exercise its parental rights on you. The Right treats you like an adult - an autonomous individual who is responsible for himself. What do you want to be?

Two problems with Keynes, and Leftism. 1. They start with “the government spends money” so it can help people. The government does not “have money.” The government has YOUR MONEY it took by force. Leftist think LEFTIST POLITICIANS can spend your money on you BETTER than you can. Do you agree with that??? Some government bureaucrat knows what you like, what is important to you? You trust some crooked politician to spend your money, but not for his own gain? 2. Leftist theories never take into account the REAL WORLD and REAL PEOPLE. They concoct these Grand Plans, but never consider what happens if people say NO. They never factor in cheating, lying, crimes that government employees and politicians engage in frequently. They live in a Fantasy World, full of their own self importance. Do you trust ME with your money? That’s all you need to know.

I like the Keynes = kids analogy. If you think you are a child, too weak to affect your own life, too dumb to make wise decisions, then you want a powerful state, like a stern daddy, to grow a big mustache and steer your life the way He thinks best. If you think you are an adult, and deserve respect, well, that's Hayek.

The Capitalist/Individualstic impulse is an atavisim. It is an infantile solipsistic view of reality that children eventually grow out of to reach mature aduldhood. But for some people.....

Individualism should not have a negative connotation added to it. Individuals create and invent things all throughout history and if the invention is valuable enough eventually everyone in the collective group benefits from the individuals actions.

We are moving towards what The Bible says 'War of Armageddon'. The Globilization. The advent of One World, One World Government, One Economy, One Global Citizenship and the advent of the Anti-Christ the one-man ruler of the world. And then The Grand Climax - The Second Coming of Jesus Christ - coming as The Lion and The Judge. And then The Judgement Day every single human being to face accountability before Jesus Christ The Judge. And then the end of fallen evil world. And then the eternity in hell, OR eternity in heaven through Jesus Christ which is free for all who repent of sins in Jesus. The Bible prophecies to fulfil. Bring it on. Until then... "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him". John 3:16-17 The Bible
