@@billymonama. I see, one other question I had was, was it disclosed why Thami and the band stopped working together? Phela "the band was tight" with him producing 😅. And also thank you for the work that you're doing all the questions I had as a kid we're finally answered and you rekindled my love for guitar. As soon as I get one and learn a few things I'm gonna be your student through your book I wanna learn all I can from it when I get it.✨ Stay blessed.

King Jimmy Dludlu sent me a little part of this video for me to see in the beginning of this month by WhatsApp and it left me so much inspired after I saw the video he sent to me, not of what you played no, but 'cos I always used to play his songs and not only this but another songs else and I consider King Jimmy Dludlu as my jazz legend in Mozambique and around the Africa and I had an opportunity to make pictures with him.... I' d like to get an opportunity like you to show what I'm able to play Jimmy Dludlu's songs... Actually I tried to create a band and we use to practice and in 25 May, 2023 we are gonna play in Associação dos Músicos, I tried to call to the King Jimmy Dludlu if it should be possible for me to play with his presence and the communications are not being well perhaps in another opportunity but the event 25 May still carry on... The chance like that are rarely quite tough to find and it is the only one thing I miss to show my talent too....... I knew that some of KZbin video has been watched over there, and if over there requires King Jimmy Dludlu's fan please I would like to participate too....from Mozambique... I am here on your KZbin channel for the first time and there's cool. #JimmyDellura

An absolutely fascinating presentation - I didn't think I was going to, but I listened to the whole 2.5 hours in one sitting. I hope this fount of knowledge that Rob has can make it into a book at some point. I met him about 40 years ago when he was visiting California and he already knew more about South African music than anyone else I knew and he has obviously learned a lot more since then.

Moses Ngwenya is the reason that the Soul Brothers still exists today. There are multiple times when David Masondo wanted to pull away, go solo or wanted to own the Soul Brothers as his. Moses Ngwenya together with other music legends helped keep the band united until today

kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6S5dp6Xq7Sjj7ssi=7udrreK6_I5U8ae6 Little known Kehonka Music was the first to record Themba way back in 2002 when nobody else was interested in him. Some day due recognition will be accorded that company. To make matters worse, SAMR0 - the "R" stands for something insalubrious, other than "rights" - ripped the company off. Themba and Billy, use your clout to reclaim 50% of the publishing rights that was promised Themba.
