Thanks for explaining the noise. I was going to guess it was an inertia wagon. Although I’ve never seen out heard one in person.

Well done chaps, lovely ring to those castings and such a sweet responsive engine a credit to the builder and your maintenance. Running drains open always the safe option nice to see you respect the engine and give her some time to warm up. In the 1974's oil crisis I fired the Dairies Scotch boiler on pallets, straw or anything that would burn, over did it one day and the safety was open a good ten minutes. Fun !. More exciting than clearing the Mud holes. Best

I love your use of plastic decking boards. I'm guessing absolutely zero maintenance required on those rather than some I've seen which is treated ply covered by roofing felt. Although if I build outside I think I'd stil l the felt over the deck boards for tthe impression of gravel roadbed. Overall a great running area.

At 1:29 - Did i c a rectangular looking water gauge? Did it come from the factory that way?
@stamrly418 Жыл бұрын
The water gauge is a standard Roundhouse one that is built into the boiler. They work well this one is placed so it can be seen easily.

@@stamrly418 Thx! Finally RndHse added the gauge. The nxt step is to follow that Lady Anne's upgrade of adding sprung axles to their new line of locos and 3D rods n valve gears vs. 2D laser cut ones.

The track and points are all the old Aristocraft stainless steel 332. Which has been down for 15 years with minimal work on it. The reasons for S/Steel is “I want to run trains not maintain a railway!”
