I'm glad we actually got a score from Motoi Sakuraba for the opening rather than the J-Pop songs that the PS2 and Japanese version had. While not bad songs, it just doesn't give the same sense of adventure and epicness that Sakuraba gave.

I recall watching this on the demo UMD disc that came with the PSP I got as a kid and how I decided that I absolutely had to get the game the moment I laid eyes on B. B. Hood's Cool Hunting super. It was so excessively over-the-top and unexpected that the moment has etched itself into my mind even well into adulthood. Vampire Savior is still my favorite fighting game to this day, especially since the AD HOC feature actually allowed me to play against other people despite living in an area with no local scene well before Street Fighter IV normalized online play.

I played this game when it was released almost 30 years ago and I did not think about it for a long time after that. When I just stumbled across this intro I could remember EVERY DETAIL - this intro and the game itself were just outstanding and a great game for that time. Really nice, this just unlocked so many memories

I love the game and I love the intro but the intro is sooo unrepresantative of what this game actually is 😂 Feels like it was made super early into development when they weren't even sure what the game was gonna look like and just had some basic concepts
