He left out the part where the new owners cause the acquired company to borrow tons of money which magically ends up in the equity partners pockets while the offloaded company ends up a debt-ridden shell of what it was, with half its employees fired and the rest to follow sooner rather than later

1/3 1/3 and 1/3. 1/3 makes big $ 1/3 break even 1/3 bust? I think so.

I know this is an old video, but I'm hoping somebody can confirm my understanding of the concept. Mr. Hirsch said in the video that the government buying treasuries will drive down the yield. Does this happen through an increase in the price of the treasuries driven by higher demand? If that's the case, then Barry the banker is not being forced to sell the treasuries he has already bought. He is being incentivized to sell because the price of the treasuries is now higher than what he has paid for them. Did I get it right?

The energy demand of new data centers will, in the short term, likely cause the price of electricity to consumers to go up. Ugh!

I'm confused as to why they're able to sell the property for twice the buy value when they've sold off half the land and torn down buildings. Wouldn't it be worth less if there were less grounds and fewer buildings?

bad explanation. they purposely destroy companies and make money from that, they way this dude failed to explain it, it sounds like that's undesired outcome, when that's all they do

To my ear, it doesn't sound that much like Scarlett Johansson. However, it's very much in the vein of her spoken style. It definitely has some similar characteristics, but some of the more "personality" type aspects sound as thought they've been smoothed into something a bit more "generic perky north american woman".

One thing here is unclear? How do they get someone dumb enought to buy the companies at the final price? The process is basically just buying something at a low price and selling it at a high price, but with extra steps.
