I recently built a Raptor and the paint job was quite tricky. This kit looks promising - looking forward to your model!

Great subject! And very good guide to the ICM kit. All of the models I'm building are 1/48 SEAC/CBI aircraft of the RAF/RIAF/American and Japanese forces, particularly those that were based in my home state of Assam and the Imphal-Kohima battles. The problem is getting correct decals in the aftermarket and I have to paint them on. One observation--I don't believe I've seen a white stripe between the light/dark blue fin flash in any photo. Thanks for a wonderful video.

I have 1 of these and used aftermarket decals....i did mine in Irish Air Corps markings....and yes the Irish Air Corps really did use several variations of the Hurricane during "the emergency" as ww2 was called here in Ireland.

Great kit which showcases the fact that pre-partition Indian's formed the bulk of allied forces engaged against the Empire of Japan on the Burma Front Just a question? Why is it titled 'British Commonwealth Occupational Forces, 1944' when no such title existed at that time? being used to describe caretaker forces sent to French Indochina and the Dutch East Indies from 1945 onwards

Just an amazing build. It is quite common with the case of such models like P-38, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell to be habitual tail-sitters. Its from my experience through, as I had built the B-25 in the past. But, anyhow its a modeller's true skills and technical expertise that comes into paly at solving such situations, which you have done amazingly. 😊🤗👍
@satindersingh39852 ай бұрын
Wonderful and precise build..!!! It was a relief to learn that you managed the nose weight on this "tail sitter" ....60 grams...wow.... About a month back, I sent you pictures of my P 38 build to your e-mail. Maybe, it went into your junk folder.... I believe the Pacific theatre(Guadalcanal) units of the US Air Corps were all meant for high speed interception and not for ground attack. Hence, no pylons/pods were in place for bombs or rockets.... All in all....Great work...!!!!
@harjindersokhi98522 ай бұрын
Excellent build, great work. The reason why you couldn’t find instructions for the rockets is due to this variant of the P-38 not being able to carry them. Later variants carried the “Christmas tree” rocket pylons. Keep up the great work.

Great build! The engine with the added wires looks impressive. I had the same problem with the engine and the fuselage - I wanted the cowling closed, so I just left the engine out. The undercarriage doesn’t look right. The legs should slope forward a bit. Is it possible that you have the legs reversed - i.e. the right leg on the left side and vice versa? I’m looking forward to your next video.

A very rugged workhorse of the RAF in the late 30s-40s. A bit of history which I can recollect.... Eight Indians were trained as Hurricane fighter pilots and flew in RAF squadrons in the Battle of Britain.. Two noteworthy ones...Mahinder Singh Pujji and H S Malik. Hurricane squadrons were raised in India in June 1942 for the Burma campaign for recon and ground attack. Of particular mention was the 1944 Arakan front where Indian pilots were awarded the DFCs and many mentioned in despatches..ACM Arjan Singh was one....

I have made 3 of this kit and it is a lovely build so I'm sure you'll have fun. I'm not sure how it could be squeezed into anything relating to D Day though - Mark 1s had long gone by then and the Mark 2 is a notably different shape and even they were only used in secondary duties during the invasion. But, paint anything in the grey/green camo with stripes and it would look right, even if it isn't!
