I've got a few questions for christians: why does a priest hve the power to provide atonement for sin? theologically speaking, isnt that god's power, why is that being bestowed to a priest?, and I know wht you're gonna tell me, you're gonna say in the end it is god that forgives you, but from what i've read, if you dont preform the actual ritual of confession, or any other atonement ritual in the presence of a priest, the orthodox and catholic faiths dont consider personal praying for forgiveness as enough to warrent an atonement, like no wonder the reformation happened lol another thing, you claim that jesus died for your sins, then you ask people to atone for their sins, you dont fin that contradictory? or is there a theological argument/reason for this

I am a 15-year-old and there have been many nights where I have cried myself to sleep over various things in my life. This has been happening more and more frequently, to the point where it has become a nightly occurrence. My days are characterized by being happy during the day and then sobbing at night. While I understand that this could just be a part of growing up, listening to this, hit me hard and made me cry even more before going to bed. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but to anyone reading this, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

GOD loves and hates, and he gave us the ability to love and hate. However, we are to take no revenge, do no harm. That's the love JESUS was talking about. It has nothing to do with emotion, it is an act of the will = take no revenge, do no harm for vengeance is Mine, saith The LORD. JESUS never told us NOT to hate, He said to love your enemies which means do no harm to them. In the OT when one had an enemy, one would kill the enemy. In the NT, JESUS says to love the enemy which means do no harm, but do "good" to them when and if you can. Take no revenge. However, we are to defend ourselves when being PHYSICALLY attacked. In VERBAL abuse, let ppl say what they will. That's turning the other cheek.

All 613 Commands, conditions,prerequisites,requirements,commandments, etc in the OT and all 1050 commands in the NT have been fulfilled in time and eternity in our place, in our stead, as our substitute, for us (gift) by: Messiah our YESHUA. So: In time and eternity God the Father, the Son (Messiah)and the Holy Ghost comes to dwell in our human spirit. Reversing the spiritual death in humans since the fall of mankind.He cleansed our human spirits, from all sin,evil, darkness, fallenness and filled us with Himself. Then we are sealed(no sin can come back into our spirits) and preserved forever...All is the gift of God. All commands: Biblical repentance, faith, believing, trusting, coming to Him, accepting HIM, deciding for HIM and everything else necessary for Salvation HE IS IN US. Plus all the other benefits, gifts and blessings of Salvation in one big package. HE is the wheel, the mentioned requirements Repentance, Faith, Believe, Trust, etc, etc are the spokes of the wheel. All move at the same nano-or milli-second in time. John 1:13 and John Chapter 3, 6,10, 17...but also from Genesis to Revelation there are verses telling us about Salvation as being/coming from God only as a complete gift next to all the commands (all the do's and don'ts). All commands are there to show us how HOLY HE is, and that, if we fail in one second in one tiniest thing, we fail them all anyway...In our human spirits we keep ever letter of the entire WORD of GOD 100%...But the evil, darkness, sin, fallenness still remains in our bodies and out minds and brains...there is a real war/conflict between our inner control centre (God in our human spirits) and the ENEMY, THE WORLD OUT THERE AND THE SIN IN OUR BRAINS, MINDS, EMOTIONS AND BODY...we see that all scripture about all human responsibility toward God is 100% correct; and that HE is out free gift in all things concerning Salvation is also 100% correct...HIS wonderful Sovereignty is true, human responsibility is true..two sides of the same coin...Liberty, freedom though and by everything being a GIFT, GIFT, GIFT...NOW: That is totally unique in the universe! Him being a GIFT! Right? Only as I am learning the above mentioned things, I hate all sin, the "world system" and the enemy in, through and by the LORD more and more. It's opposite of "taking sin lightly,etc" I am more and more thankful and in awe and, well: Wow!! I noticed, that, when I doubt that all is the gift of God, I fall into sinful stuff easier, sort of, because I notice I am operating in the flesh masquerading as "walking in the spirit." Trying to "please" Him by trying to "do stuff" thinking it's in the spirit, but I am shot-circuiting-my assurance and rest in the Lord. The more I "try" to "earn" His approval, the more I outwardly sin. I need to rest in Him being my gift...bless you all!!

As God told Abraham that he is the father of a multitude, the father of many nations. By looking at the sands and stars, if he could count them. God is! God is!
