Seeing SONY has been trying to build their own Spiderverse for a while. Am suspecting Knull may instead of linking directly into the MCU plot, will be big bad for Spiderwerse? He could either go Thanos, end up very lame like Kang or likely somewhere in between. It would be smart marketing to slot the film right before the MCU big ones as you mentioned, even if not directly related story wise. Like how Disney baited audience with Captain Marvel bakc then?
