A truly immersive experience of sonic and visual desolation! There is a balance between raw power of intense black metal rigs and eerie atmospheric layers of the visuals mirroring a world in decay. I love its haunting narrative and the dark, mythical undercurrents drawn both from Norse mythology and European art of the 19th & the 20th centuries. As a fan of nuanced storytelling, I appreciate SEID’s artistry and mastery in blending of sound, lyrics, and imagery - it always leaves me impressed. Great work!

Centuries ago Snorri Sturluson wrote: “The deeds of great men live on in song and story”... This album is going to be a profound homage to the rich legacy of Norse heritage, a tantalizing fusion of pagan black metal with evocative melodies that is both haunting and majestic. SEID again masterfully captured the essence of the ancient Nordic sagas. The visuals, pictures, and music are a testament to the legacy of the Norse, invoking raw mysticism of the Viking age. This album promises to be a monumental tribute to the spirit of ancestors awaken in modern generations. Waiting for the full release🤘🏻

From the heart of the ancient Norse realms, SEID echoes through the ages as a haunting symphony of black metal submerged in the mysticism and raw power of the Swedish wilderness. I feel deeply the essence of their music-dark, relentless, and profoundly atmospheric. Each piece of music or video is a journey through time, invoking the spirits of old and the untamed beauty of Scandinavian landscapes. I truly respect SEID’s dedication to their craft and their roots, their musical work is a testament to their unwavering passion and artistry. Hail SEID, for they are the keepers of the ancient flame 🔥

These will be the songs of Scandinavian forests whispering about ancient times. These will be the songs of Scandinavian wolves crying on a moonless night until the call of the North awakens in the blood. These will be true hymns to the North, created by the heirs of the North. Thoughts, words, traditions, legends, genes passed down from father to son through the generations. „Never walk away from home ahead of your axe and sword” (Hávamál)🐺

So let the blood storm rage… New, but old, pure blooded SEID, true to the bone. The Blood Storm is like a battle axe thrown from the past, and I immediately know I am back in my realm. I love the cacophony of harsh vocals, fast drumming and guitar riffs. Varangians’ blood and rage. Valar morghulis🐺

This video is a masterpiece. Just let the omnipotential narrator to guide and you end up in a rabbit hole, but it’s where the story begins. Two narratives entwined in a oneiric realm lead a multilevel story, in which every symbol has its deeper meaning. You can’t just miss it, because symbolism breaks through and hits you hard. Perfect combination of the “unholy trinity”: music, picture, and lyrics makes the symbolic level of meanings stream through your mind. Seemingly incompatible with each other elements from distant realities (Nordic religion vs “modern demons” for example) here interact with each other and emerge from one another creating a meaningful story deeply rooted in culture. A coherent story. A chant of the past that sounds in every lost in modern times soul. As usually with SEID, music and lyrics combined together create a masterpiece that one wants to listen and discover deeper levels of symbolism and meaning. But here the video is an absolute blast. The complex story is told in the pictures: in the play of light and shadow, dimmed and washed out colors, perfect editing and directing. The ideas born in creators’ imagination are lighted up and the performers instinctively are wearing their costumes like they own skins. The leading vocal, strong and powerful like a shaman’s voice chanting the spirits, is like an ancient Corypheus' dialogue with the crowd of observers. And somehow the authors make us to be a part of the performance, gathered under the beams of almighty lights cutting the sphere of a wooden pagan temple. And that’s how the ancient theater was born. Great applause for a video makers, they made a great show! 🖤

Hel? shouldn't it be HELL?
@anna.saga66611 ай бұрын
Hel is correct. The band is referring to an Old Norse female being that ruled a part of the underworld called Hel, like herself. You have her beautifully portrayed in the video. Since the artistic style and work of the Swedish band is based on Nordic mythology, religion and history, they always refer to their heritage and roots emphasizing its priority and importance over anything else.

A masterpiece! That’s why the “Web of Urd” situates Seiðr, a multitalented artist and creator, as an integral part of the Swedish cultural heritage. The melody of Swedish national anthem integrated in one of the instrumental tracks from the “Web of Urd” (Björn) brings together the iron and bloody past, plastic and ambivalent present, and yet unknown days to come. Now the final „Wilko” creates a bond between ancestors and inheritors, a hope that heritage and memory can save the future. Swedish heroes and never forgotten gods, the spirit of the nation pulsing in a bloodstream, the memory the Nine Words intertwined around the Yggdrasil - it all flows in the “Web of Urd”. And Wilko is a special one… The last chord of the prophecy. A Waideler; a sorcerer; a mediator between a mankind and and mysterious forces of the nature. Wilko means a wolf in Slavic languages. Let the wolves to howl about Urd’s self-fulfilling prophecy: that we can, with the sheer power of love and memory, save something from changing and destruction. Glad Nationaldag, Sverige🇸🇪🖤

“As fast as the wind, they say they saw a bolt above the trees…” The whole album is a thunderbolt. Pure pagan black metal in its finest vision. Swedish Vikings never take any hostages, SEID burns to the ground. The Vessel is another black diamond among the rocks. Waiting impatiently for the whole album being released. Svartr Sol🖤
