4:57 I think he resents her for not having taken his political aspirations as seriously as he'd hoped, she even laughed at him back when he was talking to her about his plan to overthrow Marc Anthony . He also still might resent her for that thing she enticed him to do for Servilia's sake ... for that last one alone he must not fully trust her loyalty maybe .

I think your explanation makes the most sense tbh but I still think he is being too harsh considering Sevilla manipulated her when she was a minor and her laughing at him, although rude, was understandable considering he quite young to be the head of the republic. Thank you for your comments. They are very insightful.

@@aggubaggu747 Oh he's being petty with his reaction for sure . he's exerting petty revenge on them for all the slights he's endured from them . he hides his hurt ego behind a cold mask . He's very smart , but a little emotionally* broken .

1. I felt so bad for her in that moment. She did not deserve to die. 2. 😂😂😂😂 3. They make the characters so likable that I forget that they do terrible things.

@@aggubaggu747 oh yeah , both of them are WILD as heck . in any other setting they would be horror movie characters 😅 "Pullo the Exterminator" , we can all visualize that and we know it'd be scary as heck too . Vorenus getting revenge on that guy for selling his kids was objectively terrifying , a gore fest , not to mention keeping the guy's head around as a keepsake 😰 our love for them definitely blinds us to many objective horrors that they commit .

13:40 this scene is a funny way to acknowledge the plot armor for our protagonist too , the powerful gods are ... The writer ! And it's a good character moment for Cesar and the romans belief at this time too . Really good writing
