Can you tell me the actual base weight of the truck as well as the legal GVWR? One site indicates that it has less than 200 pounds of OCCC

Actual weight is what the CAT scale will show for the vehicle. GVWR is gross vehicle weight rating, the legal maximum weight that you can operate the vehicle on public roads. OCCC is Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity, the difference between GVWR and actual weight. The website lists the weight as 8800 lbs and GVWR as 9050 lbs. meaning OCCC is only 250 lbs about the weight of a driver. Meaning, if their numbers are correct it will be illegal to operate the vehicle with full water and fuel tanks and without a driver.

Many great points mentioned already. How thick is the cab over mattress and how do you address moisture underneath it. The lighting is less than pleasing when you wake up being direct to your eyes rather than ambient. Also no real space to store or charge your devices from bed. Seems silly but important to many. How to you recommend cleaning soot from diesel heater? Could be a huge problem if it stops working when needed. Did the pass through block off for security and efficiency of HVAC? Did Ford upgrade the steering box and draglink? Can we assume the exterior water component access is heated!? What Air conditioner is it using and what is the boondocking run time without solar?

Six months into full-time vanlife in my 27North adventure van and I can attest their service is phenomenal! “Most issues have been user error” 🙋🏼♀️ 😂 Vlad has patiently walked me through every unknown. The performance of my solar, electrical and plumbing systems continues to exceed my expectations and I’m so grateful to be living in my 27North van.
