Damn, Silent Hill 2 has some bad optimization. No way the 7700xt is only getting 47fps on that game at 1080p. That’s ridiculous.

NVIDIA just doesn't provide any value in raw performance or VRAM capacity. An $800 NVIDIA card neck and neck in most games with a $500 AMD card isn't surprising at all.

Why do all ue5 games run better on 4080 super than 7900xtx. I prefer 7900 xtx but ue5 maybe changes my mind.

This benchmark looks pretty rigged, i own a 3080 Ti myself and upgraded recently to the 4080 Super, in 1080p i didnt notice much difference but in 4k it was a good 20-30% depends on the game (Tested with my brand new 9800X3D). As i bought the 4080 Super with a extended right to return (210 days instead of 30days in my country) I will just return it when the 50xx series come out and get myself the 5080 or the 5070 depends on the launch price.

Nothing beats that 7900xtx value.....80-100% of a 4090 for half the price in rasterization at 4k.

Men those new AAA titles really devour the performance of high end cards 7:37 and its crazy how damn fine Dooms engine runs. It has literally 3x the fps compared to many of the titles listed here. In some games even 4x the fps. I already liked the look of Doom 2016 and how well it was playable on my GTX 1060.

Well the 7800XT cost half the price of a RTX4080S and score well. Surely if you look at price/ performance and you are not a fanatic that invest all his money in graphic cards ... I only play MSFS (ex pilot) and prefer to invest money in good peripherals rather then a slightly better GPU. Ecen a goid monitor is important, not knly GPU. It would be interessant to see how they perform in 4k too. My opinion of course.

Something to keep in mind is that the RX 6000 series, particularly the 6950 XT has the higher binned RAM which can run tighter timings and OC better. Also the 6000 series can undervolt quite well producing lower voltage which translates less heat and more OC headroom. I have a 6950 XT with an EK waterblock liquid cooled. Running a very simple 100mv undervolt, memory OC and clock OC through Adrenaline equals and sometimes even passes 7900 XT stock performance. Obviously Ray Tracing is a where Nvidia takes the lead. But if you don't care about that or your games don't use it, the 6950 XT is still a beast. Prices are all over the place unfortunately. One year ago, I picked up one new on Amazon for around $600 which at the time was a killer deal.

Btw at 1440p with dlss and ray tracing on max setings with 5800x3d and 4070ti super rog strix oc i got 75 average fps on silent hill 2 remake

hmm. getting bit conflicted feelings on the performance on the RX 7900XT. kiinda want to "upgrade" on it from my normal 4070 but then again its 1 to 1 on some games with the performance. only reason why i was looking at it since im migrating to Linux and still AMD is the top dog when it comes to support on that OS. ye nvidia is now slooooowly getting there but still DLSS3 is lacking support and news on the driver side is bit dodgy. might as well just w8 for the next gen AMD cards and hope for faster support from nvidia side that seems non existent and that card is going from 700>900€ depending on the model so i dont think its even worth it to consider :/
