That was phenomenal. Great chat about wakeboarding and Jimmy's path was very unique and cool. I was not expecting him to be so hilarious though. He has a low-key sense of humor that is subtle but brilliant. Some hosts might have struggled with that but you were you able to roll with it and enhance it.

I’ll never forget when I first started watching wakeboarding films and seeing how big Jimmy went on his section in the “hyperlite wakeboarding is awesome” video with Murray, Rusty and Ruck. Along with the Bullshoals lake trip with the Nautique team waaay back in the day. Keep up the great work on these podcasts bro!!

It’s so sad how badly wakeboarding has died out. We are at the point now where we are interviewing old riders reflecting on the good ol days of wakeboarding. It’s a dead industry. No magazine, no new videos, it’s fucking dead

Interesting, at 59mins he talks about Rusty’s board back in the day, before his pro model came out. If you watch his vids on Rusty’s board back in the day, he always went bigger on those than he did on his pro board. We used to talk about that all the time back in the good ole days

Thanks for the shoutout boys, haha! Actually....I don't have the 2004 X-Games footage because it was televised live, not recorded like ESPN had scheduled. So I was actually out on my friends boat at the time and when I got back to my apartment, Phil was finishing up his 1st pass so I didn't even get to see the whole competition to make a comparison. And I never saw a replay by ESPN. But I do remember that controversy about Chad vs. Phil. It would be great to see both runs again though. And 2004 was the second time it was in Long Beach Marine Stadium. The first time was in 2003 when Harf did his 3-peat. BTW, on the Mt. Rushmore topic, can't believe that the "House of Style" never came up on anyone's list? (Murray). I agree with your guys picks, but just surprised that Shaun didn't even come up in the discussion. Or even Watson.

So much good stuff in this one, Chase is a phenomenal guy! My jaw dropped when he said there was a park with two start towers! I think that could make such a huge difference in customer experience and retention if it became a regular thing for the bigger cables! And we need to start making it common knowledge for prospective business owners that if you want a cable park, you need an aqua park and/or bar/food in order to support the park through the slow months.

Great episode. Love the cable park owner/operator stories. On the pricing model section, just look at the snow industry. Out here in Utah if you show up at Park City on a mid winter weekend, you're getting smacked for $320 this season. Yet you can buy a season long Epic Pass for less than 3 of those days with spring pricing. Somehow it works. Mountains have never been more crowded out here.

Dano.....THANK YOU for bringing attention & so much passion about the whole vest issue because for years now I haven't been able to get a straight answer as to why in towed watersports, it's taboo to not wear a vest in every facet behind the boat but trick skiing gets a pass???? I've even asked those that came from 3-event/show skiing, etc and they even couldn't really tell me. So thanks again for being such an advocate for this topic! BTW, can't wait for my podcast episode to be released.....eventually!😁

I was lucky enough to have a super cool experience with this legend. Spring 2021 (i think, maybe 22) i got invited by a friend on Volwake (utk wakeboard club) to go a ride for a Moomba photoshoot. Rod was the lead photographer along with a tall brother named Spencer and Rathy. The Hansen brothers were there as drivers/riders too. That experienced re-sparked my love for riding like you would not believe. Rod is straight up one of the coolest dudes I have ever met. He naturally brings the whole room up around him. I've improved as a rider 10-fold still riding the high from that whole experience. Dude just makes you want to be great. Will be holding on to the sunset photo he got of me until death separates me from it. Absolute legend.
