I found it interesting when the LF is showing and when an advisory/watch/warning comes up on the screen the date and time gets nudged to the bottom of the screen.

On the morning of January 19, it was -22°F, an all time record low. The high only made it to -3°F.

When I would hear music I heard on The Weather Channel elsewhere, like in a mall department store or a restaurant, I would say "I know that music - The Weather Channel", but at the time didn't know the name of it. Wouldn't know the name until I came across the TWC Classics site (except for Kenny G's "Breathless" CD, which we had at the time 4 songs from that CD were features on TWC's playlist.

@bigntall1972 You, me and @twcclassics are the only ones who have 4000 footage uploaded that features the text "wipe effect", which was only on from July 1990 to February 1991. That feature was initially from top to bottom the first two months and then changed from top to bottom to left to right. My upload is from February 8, 1991, less than two weeks before they got rid of the "wipe effect".

Takes me back to bring 12 years old. I’d watch the weather channel for fun, ride my bike everywhere in town, chasing clouds, pretending I was a storm chaser before Twister made it cool. Good days.
