I saw the performance yesterday. It was amazing. We fortunate to have this community theatre. A one man show demands top performance for 90 minutes. This the audience received. Literature frequently mirrors history; an abundance of historical significance was woven within this man’s story. I lamented my lack of knowledge of both. Since viewing the play I have engaged in learning so much more about the man and the times. I recently moved to downtown Pittsburgh. How fortunate that the arts offers a plethora of learning experiences for every age and so many genres.

I read this book years ago and STILL remember its power. Wished I still lived in the Pittsburgh area because I definitely would be planning to see it. It is an AMAZING story for all races and genders.
