Hey I’m so sorry and I’m not trying to be rude. I want to listen to this full episode and plan on doing so! But your interview with Clayton Burgess really really resonated with me and I can’t stop thinking in my head how much I gotta thank you for doing the interview and uploading. I became a recent fan of his after seeing him play the Wizard shows live on KZbin after becoming a fan long time ago. I really would love to be able to maybe get a response from you about if you guys have planned anything for a more recent interview? I know he’s not in the band anymore so it’s maybe pointless but I just really had to leave a comment. The urge was too strong. Thank you for the upload again, and I can’t stop thinking about how important the interview as to me personally. Electric Wizard, Sabbath, Blue Cheer and Satans Satyrs have changed so much for me as of recently especially SS for the inspiration behind my DIY approach. Much love and respect, I really hope to hear back from you. My email is [email protected]

Always happy to hear one of my biggest influences talk. It's sad this has only 102 hits while Ty Segall's interview with AP gets thousands overnight. Tim is the real artist.

The problem with "American Primitive Guitar" is that even the most famous musicians in the genre behave like amateurs. They don't have KZbin channels (producing content periodically), Instagram (few), they don't even produce a DVD, or a complete DVD-quality concert, to promote their work. It's as if they didn't make the slightest effort to step out of the shadows of anonymity.

Lol. Hard to tell if you're being facetious. "Primitive" guitar (and any solo music for that matter) is one of the purest art forms, and the greatest players in the space are careful to sacrifice their art for commercial viability. Bachman, following in the Fahey lineage, seems to understand the commercial rat race and how it hollows out the artist. IMO, Bachman's output over the last five years and been far more impactful than any of his more fingerstyle records in the early 2010s. Go watch Leo Kottke if you want a "complete DVD-quality concert" smh See Jonathan Crary's "Scorched Earth" for the macro version of this "content" and "promotion" problem...

Thanks for the interview!!! Great to know what Daniel is up to now, been wondering about it for a while. Just a question; what does Daniel mean by "contact speakers"? I´ve been doing some research and the closest seems to me to be the "surface speakers" or "vibration speakers". If anybody can clarify i would appreciate it.
