So glad I found a one off Yamaha 12x7 maple with alu die cast hoops. Should be here tomorrow. Steve Jordan loves the size too. His is a wandoo block model. Do you notice much difference in you old block and new ply model Ash?

The 60’s K sounds like my Kerope proto set. Love my 17” Mastersound hats proto’s the most though. Would love to have a second set.

I had a 13 × 7 SLP Maple snare but I traded it in on a Gretsch 14 x 5. 5 Mike Johnstone Brooklyn standard( Maple and Poplar) an I absolutely adore it. It's got the 42 snare wires, and I tried putting 30 and 20 on it and it just doesn't sound the same. But my goodness I think I found the next snare I want to get a 12 × 7 Gretsch Ash ( Purple Heart) soan sig., it's not cheap but it sounds like it's worth it. Although they make a Gretsch Rosewood snare that I just killa as well. 14×5.5
