Lightsabers are basically baseball bats in these games. They only become a lightsaber in a quick time event. I imagine the makers being like, But if we make the skin have a burnt orange slash mark that should cover it, not permanently mind you it'll heal over after a few seconds.

GZ on the kill. I guess i'm to old school to think this was a hard fight. Did it with dual sabers at the very begining of the game when I met him. Took me like 10tries, to figure out the move set and finish him off :) Also on jedi knight.

Ive always found the crossguard lightsaber to be the best in 1v1 scenarios like this. The defence and damage allow you to go toe to toe with even Rancors and make the most of small openings with big hits. You just can't be as aggressive as other stances but once you get the timing down, its magical.

honestly yes, it is great for 1v1 with tough enemies and great for clearing out large groups, terrible if you plan to 1v2 tough enemies tho
