Really love this version. Tom and Steve’s harmonies are really good too. Like that Harry’s brothers took the lead on a verse.

I loved the entire Brooklyn team, especially Sandy Amoros. In later yrs., I read that Duke was having problems. He came on TV and confessed his tax evasion errors. He emphasized that he would be manly about his problems and take whatever punishment was due. He came off like a real man. He wasn't some crybaby making excuses. He took it like a man !!!! Duke is still my hero come hell or high water.

Dancing Emerald became a mother to just one daughter that was named Lubicon, who won 5 races, some of them stakes races, she was an incredibly good horse like her mom was. Dancing Emerald became a grandmother to many others through her only daughter Lubicon and produced 3 or 4 stakes horses, one of a very high caliber, named Stradivinsky

Perfect symmetry The deep pathos from the wordsmith master Harry Chapin beautifully executed with passion and conviction that only Richie Havens could deliver a marriage made in heaven where these artisans now reside .

Fantastic Big John Wallace ❤
@davidlarson5991 Жыл бұрын
The great incomperable Big John Wallace did his heartfelt "Last Stand" which I played three times today. The loss of Harry and the fabulous band permanently left a vacancy in my soul. As a purveyor of tunes myself the loss has left a deep void except for Harry's lyrics that lives on unabated!!! As in my poem Harry C I gave to Tom in Clearwater " Say hey to the Lord for me and tell 'em He was right bout a number of things including dying anytime in boots and blue jeans".

My uncle and I saw Duke Snider at the Polo Grounds before Shea Stadium was built, maybe 1963. He hit a Grand Slam Home run in the ninth inning. What a game.
