@@upscalelawncaremonroe408 yeah there were some engineers in Massachusetts that are wanting to talk to people in the Lawn Care business that are working on a robotic mower. I thought you would be somebody good to talk to. They’re really nice. I talk to him for about a couple of hours..

I recently bought a trimstar and am putting a mulch kit on it. I am going to run ripper blades. Considering running x blades with two sets of rippers. I don’t want guys shooting rocks out into windows or cars.

Man that snow was beautiful. Im 40 yrs old and have lived in Augusta my whole life. I've never seen fluffy snow like that before. We got 4 inches. It's normally less than an inch if we get it.

Do you have any video to show how's this Ripper blade and Gold hybrid blade setup are working? If so, please share the video link with me.
@williamcreech26728 күн бұрын
Appears the ripper blade shown off the mower has a lot wear on on side and not so much on the other?
@dewainkoester10268 күн бұрын
Because of the shute blocker blocking the flow of air. That side will grind up more material.

How often to change Wright stander hydro oil? I’ve been changing every season, I usually use less than 100 hours a season
@GwinnettLawns8 күн бұрын
I would still do it at least once per year. Its alot cheaper to change it early then to have it oxidize and wipe out the hydros.
@JackofHaulTrades9 күн бұрын
Definitely a good reminder to check the oil 👍

Is it rare to see Tall Fescue in the Atlanta area? I cut grass in the DC area. The summer temps are exaclty the same as Atlanta, and you guys get more rain. It's predominantly Tall Fescue out here, with a little Zoysia mixed in.

You may see a little in a backyard that has a lot of shade, it will flat out die in full sun if its not irrigated every day.

Looks like death by dirt and oil to me. Good grief all that gunk would drive my OCD into overdrive. You have to tear those baffles and covers off at least once a year to clean all that crap out of there.

Just gonna say it like this and leave it be … if you are running anything other than 50:1 on 91 or 93 octane in these blowers … you are asking for these problems 🤷🏽♂️

There is still new old stock for sale on the market. I can get a HRXHYA for $700 and it would have the updated cam. I'm thinking of getting one if they are still available when it gets closer to spring. I don't want to get one and have it sit until mowing season only to find out there are problems with it.

I don’t like using any edged line, too sloppy and spins slower. My favorite line I found so far is shindaiwa silent twist, it’s blue. I tried project farms recommended line and hated it, the ends would always split which I hate. You’re the first guy I see that seems to actually test out different strings in real situations. I’ve experienced that melting of the lines as well.

I'm here in Rhode Island with cool season grasses. What x-blade setup would you recommend i try?
@GwinnettLawns25 күн бұрын
@@stevenclark5450 cutting cool seasoning grass high lift blades work really good. Combine with a mulching blade. So I would try maybe like the ripper blade on top and the razor high lift blade on the bottom that’ll give you really good vacuum and then the mulching blade will really break up the grass super fine.
@stevenclark545024 күн бұрын
I'm looking forward to trying that! What kind of a blade setup would you try for pulverizing the grass during the mowing season?

For snow I charge a monthly flat rate. Usually works out to 1-2 days per week. Mostly dry, cold stuff. The warmer sticky stuff is 10x harder to deal with. Helps to have a change of season because lawns get wicked boring without the change of pace in the winter.

Good idea. I wonder if an insulating blanket on the engines would be good enough. I leave my poor girls under a tarp on the trailer in the winter 🙄 and thankfully, they still start up when it gets warm. Actually, we might get back into the 40s this weekend, so I might see who fires up if I think about it.
