I’ve always heard this principal taught from the point of view of worry and doubt and uncertainty. you can bring it to lay before his feet and pick up his yoke and he will make it light. But could you make a biblical application for carrying a load of sin and it’s heavy and loaded down with conviction? You can lay sin at his feet for forgiveness and pick up righteousness that is light. Just wondering if this a biblical application as well?

Though not the original intent of the passage, I can see that application. It's about us handing over (whatever) and taking up what He has which is always easier, lighter, better. Good thought!

I enjoyed your short sermon, you’re right about us not always finishing our race. This was a good reminder that we should all try our best.😊

This is my grandson, Austin Cole. I am so thankful to God for him serving the King of kings and LORD of Lord's. I've been in the ministry since 1967. My dad, Austin's great grandfather, faithfully served as a minister of God, many, many years; and to see and hear Austin, my dear Christian grandson, stand up for Jesus, is an overwhelming blessing to me. What a wonderful message he just preached to encourage us to serve God in spirit and in truth! The Lord bless you, Ethan Austin. I will add one more thing; Austin's dad and his father, Tom Cole have faithfully preached and served the LORD as well. Both greatgrandfathers are now with the Lord.

this message is largely why there are no good churches anymore . There are only a handful of churches in the USA who preach the right gospel, and this one is not one of them. Welcome to the falling away.

You are preaching works salvation here. A believer can indeed live in sin. Otherwise, how do you know you're saved? Because you don't habitually sin? How much sin before you start to doubt your slavaiton. The truth is, the moment someone trusts Jesus to save him, he's saved and sealed forever, and they cannot do anything to change that, no matter what sin they may get into. A believer will get chastised on this earth but the flesh is who is sinning, not the spirit. Your message does not give any security whatsoever. The only requirement for salvation is to believe. We can do whatever we want after that. God may chastise us. But if I wanted to , I could go and live in as much sin as I want, and still reach heaven.

It’s like provoking one another unto good works. Provoking and prodding hurts, but the horse doesn’t move unless you press the spurs.
