Never never never poor water down your toilet or any of your drains from your rainbow vacuum always take the water outside unless you wanna pay costly expensive repairs for a plumber to come to your house a friend of mine did that years ago when she first got her rainbow she clocked her toilet drain. It cost her $300 That was 20 years ago.

I love these machines! I’m a little on the fence on whether or not the water actually does its job though. The particle tests especially on the older models seem pretty convincing but they can’t exactly tell between wet particles and dry particles. So maybe it does work? I don’t really know lol. Either way they are still great machines!

Love these machines. Rainbows and electrolux’s are becoming my favorite machines. Even over Kirby! Now Kirby is the best vacuum for a larger carpeted house, but rainbows and electroluxs do an amazing job in smaller areas of carpet and area rugs.

I love mine. Cleans my carpet super well when paired with the SRX [v1] power nozzle. It’s a shame Rexair quit making them and switched to the older style. They should at least implement beater strips, but I’d also like adjustable carpet height.

Definitely my favorite model of rainbow. I’m typically a die hard Kirby fan but I’ve been using my d4c se pn2 more and I kinda like it better for all the hard floor in my house, the Kirby is great for carpet but the rainbow does a fine job on something like and area rug that doesn’t always need to be deep cleaned.

That Elite 300 (which is an Elite 350 without a headlight) has an outer bag from an Elite 5.0 (basically the Kmart version of the Elite 300) that was put in place of the original likely since it was ripped by the previous owner, and also that motor doesn't sound original either (and it sounds pretty fine to me, I don't hear any dry bearing noises), in fact, it sounds like the previous owner (who likely took it to a vacuum shop) put a later model 7 amp motor in place of the original 5 amp (you can mostly tell it's a 7 amp motor since the motor sounds a bit more high pitched than the 5 amp). You are right, I'm not very versed in the Dirt Devil vacuums (and if I'm going to be honest, I'm not a fan of them because of my bad experience with a direct air Featherlite). I liked how you pronounced my last name the German way BTW.
@TRec3791Ай бұрын
@graysonsvacsandmowers5426 German's know how to pronounce German last names as mine is German too 😁😁 Rec-ten-wald, you wouldn't believe how many people have mispronounced it. This machine actually does have a headlight bulb, it was just dead. I have no idea what motor is in it nor did I know it had a headlight till I took the cover off to change the belt and presto there was a headlight in there.

Hey you got your hands on a dirt devil. I think it was you that was wanting to buy the 5200 I had before it was combined with another machine, so glad to see your got one. If memory serves you could replace the brushroll bearings if you pull the "spindle" the bearings are on out of the brushroll It was a little hard to do, you may want to use something with a curved end like tack pry tools

Aerus still makes these vacuums. The Lux Classic is almost identical to the plastic bodied Electroluxes made since the 80s, though has a different type of motor (single stage not 2 stage). The company using the Electrolux name now purchased the name back from what became Aerus around the year 2000, which as you mentioned historically made Eurekas.

Which vacuum would you recommend ? For lasting awhile ?
@TRec37915 ай бұрын
Any vacuum theoretically will last awhile with proper maintenance. It boils down to price and type of vacuum. If you want a bagless upright, I recommend a Shark. If you want a bagged upright, I'd consider a Kirby. You can usually find a Kirby in good shape on Facebook Yardsale or Ebay. Now if you're a canister vacuum person like myself. Rainbow is the best rought to take. Whichever you choose, I highly recommend watching videos on how to maintain your vacuum. Good luck 😁😁

Sharks can easily be found at any local retail store sometimes for a bargain. Kirby and Rainbow look on Facebook Yardsale or check Ebay.

Awesome!! I love your videos! So satisfying. I also must say I have two vacuums, one is the Eureka Whirlwind Big Cup, and the other is this specific Dirt Devil model. The Dirt Devil is my favorite one to use, it has all of the attachments and everything. The hose, upholstery nozzle, crevice tool and the extension tube. I keep the Eureka for spare though. Only issue I have with my Dirt Devil is that it's unbearably loud, and it goes through belts like crazy, but I got adapted to the loudness and use earmuffs. Haha. 😂😂

These really are amazing machines, they could have a bit more cfm at the nozzle though. lol. And I’m gonna be honest, my parents bought an srx this time last year, and it’s really not that bad. Especially after they brought back the pn12. It does lack airflow and cfm, but I do believe that’s because of the small inlet on the machine.
