I was the Bassist in his Organization for seven years (1976-1983). And I was on at least five of his albums and traveled to two foreign countries-Panama and Venezuela. I spent some of my happiest moments with him and his Organization.

I also saw los jovenes del barrio a bunch or times at south seaport on Wednesday night when they had live latin bands like Eddie palmieri and tito puente and brenda k starr and other great singers. Wish they would bring back those free concerts. Jose alberto and hector tricoche my freind always said how was doing and would says the same thing. He would im performing tonight.

Attended a concert at Schomburg Center, Harlem, NY called '3 Guys Named Joe' A local group opened for Joe Bataan and Joe Cuba! It was off the chain! Que viva Joe Cuba and his wonderful music. Thank you for the memories.
