I have four that have lived happily in my community tank for almost a year, they are very fat and healthy. The tank became over populated with guppies. Yesterday I removed about 60 guppies and took them to my local aquarium. Now I have 2 guppies, 4 neons, a few ground dwellers, a yo-yo loach, 6 dwarf rasboras and 1 albino cherry barb. The tank is big and they now have so much more room. Since this change, the 4 neons are constantly chasing each other and two in particular appear to be aggressively fighting. Day 2 and it’s still going on. I’m not sure if it’s fighting or mating, but it’s a little distressing to watch. You would think after so long together, they would already have established territory and hierarchy, but it appears the removal of the over population has sparked issues I didn’t predict!

My mom got a female betta that wasnt eating and was super thin when I got she from LFS 2 days ago It would spit out the flakes. Luckily I have mosquito larvae and bloodworm outside in my wildlife pond. It devoured them without hesitation. Hoping she is on her way to a speedy recovery. I also added some 3tablespoons of redbush tea for her immune system.

My fish hasn’t been eating and all it does it rest and go up and get sum air, what does that mean? Sometimes he’s in a weird sideways position too.

My betta died last night due to a combination of old age and pop eye disease. I tried to help her but unfortunately there was no luck. Her immune systems were probably too old to handle the disease well. 😔

I have 6 neons and 6 female bettas in a 29 gallon with both floating and grounded plants. Additional fish are 6 white clouds, 3 albino cory cats, a bristle nose pleco and 3 dwarf frogs. Only issue is when two bettas chase each other.

Today I just left a round raw cucumber and found later they almost finished it eating, i was so shocked to see them eat cucumbers. What else does betta eat which are ordinarily available?

Im quite shocked really,Thinking that Fish will eat just about any thing whats come from the wild,Had fish years ago,Always throught they just eat fish food,Not all these other things,Just as well I live out in the country side in a Village,Got plenty of farm land near by,Got Plenty of vegetable feilds,Plenty of Apple trees down the road,I have to get my goldfish some more apples,Cook them,Leave them to cool down,Then put it in the tank,All munch in a few days,Not much left to the apple

I have a juvenile female Betta fish that I have had since last month I saved her as a baby from PetSmart. How should I feed her?

I feel bad because my betta doesn’t have any toys. I got him as a surprise. I don’t have anything except for a tank and food. I’ve ordered stuff but it’s not here yet. I’m doing my best to keep my betta entertained while we wait.
