You should make a Air to Water intake manifold similar to the JRSC, but for turbo cars.
@LHTPerformanceСағат бұрын
We did make a few manifolds back in the day with 4 cores inside. It did make a very compact kit.

You should make a Air to Water intake manifold for turbo cars kind of like this one.

Has to be a ProClip mount base at least, right? I have them in all my cars - Integra, Miata, CX5. With a magnetic mount in each, my phone is 100% solid at all times.

I’ve looked into replacing the Honda badge in the wheel but there’s no safe way to do it. It has more plastic pegs than you’d think, plastic welded to the black part of the airbag. Honda doesn’t want it becoming a projectile or anything snagging the airbag as it’s deployed. Perhaps someone could make a business out of refinishing them.

Where was the rust. Underneath the car. The little rust i did see was surface rust. Here in Michigan we would've sent it the way it was lol
@bvward21 сағат бұрын
John, having recovered a few underwater (although fresh water) vehicles, the areas I've had issue with (many of them covered by you) are engine, gearbox, and diff oils, water/mud/silt in the interior, rocker panels, and behind the door cards. As you mentioned, the multi layers in the body. We see crazy surface and frame rust from winter road salt, and the new enemy is a brine solution that is sprayed on the roads ahead of the snow. The problem with salt is that it dries onto the metal and reactivates corrosion if it gets wet from a rain storm. Newer cars seem to have more galvanized metal or are zinc dipped during assembly. Luckily many repair panels are available for popular cars.

Trip down memory lane! I loved my Integra..had a ‘95 Special Edition, automatic and yup..in forest green? like most of them. Then did a B18CR swap with JRSC, auto to manual conversion. Changed the entire interior from tan to black. Used to know that car inside out. Maybe one day I’ll get another one.
@ui71836 күн бұрын
I know exactly what you mean I use to have my civic felt like I knew that car inside out from everything I did to it. Unfortunately didn't have to part it out or get rid of it but fell into financial issues and my car had OEM parts from Thailand and Japan that made the part out very quick.... All I have left are pictures and memories

I have a few friends that work at the dealerships and they tell me they wouldn’t have their own cars worked on there. The whole ‘Flat Rate ‘ structure encourages the tech to work flat out as it’s all about the money. The tech never meets the customer which means there’s no connection. ‘It’s just a job ‘ attitude.
@xl92956 күн бұрын
@LHTPerformance I take my 2020 Civic today for the fuel pump safety recall they been telling the parts are not available for a year but figured out they been making people to have problems with the car to them change the fuel pump, I said that they need to feel shame for putting people safety and the motor health in risk for safe few bucks it's not acceptable so they approved the work and scratch the roof in the process 🤦🏻
@LHTPerformance6 күн бұрын
That’s terrible. I know warranty work pays less, that means there’s tech doesn’t want to do it and goes into it with a bad attitude. I’ve never had my cars fixed at the dealer. Even under warranty, I’d fix them myself and pay out of pocket.
